Level 3 Skills - The Rope Trick

I think that the new unicycling Level 3 requirement - The Rope trick - is far too hard. It should be made at least level 6. It’s also not fair that all previous Level 3 and above people will have to retest to include the Rope Trick. Its far too difficult for older people or women unicyclists.

What is the rope trick? Im not seeing it in lvl 3.

I’m testing on Thursday. Will utube it if I pass.

Sweet. What is the trick though?

Who says women cant do it!! shocking.

What the hell is the rope trick?!

Yeah…this thread is weird. And in JC.
I can’t find anything about the rope trick using google. Can anyone explain?

I think he really means Level 11

Maybe this new requirement is only for UUU members. Or for UUU members who are part of JUST (Juggling & Unicycling, Stockton-on-Tees).

It is JUST Level 3. :stuck_out_tongue:

Connie

Im so lost. Where my map?

Jerrick,

UUU = Union of UK Unicyclists
Stockton-on-Tees = area in the NE of England (for those that don’t know England, put “Stockton-on-Tees” into a mapping program - I tested maps.google and it found the area correctly)

JUST = Awesome club. We practice 2ce/week indoors and have regular MUni rides on the weekends.

The Rope Trick in Level 3 = A new variation partially demonstrated last Tuesday at practice (ending on the unicycle and riding 3 revolutions wasn’t quite done). I am looking forward to seeing LLAHDEG pass Level 3 - vids will be posted.

Connie

Just to clarify this - UK unicyclists are forging ahead in new skills and are introducing a tougher level 3 test. This is brand new and will be known as level 3i. (the i means ‘insurance required’). The Rope Trick is part of level 3i

(As Noel Coward used to say, ‘only mad dogs and englishmen go out in the mid-day sun’)

Happy Thanksgiving Connie !

What is the rope trick. Ahhhh!!!

It’s Thursday…

We’re all waiting. Please utube even if you don’t pass, maybe we’ll get the idea anyway.

And Monitor, please move this to Re.Sport.

The suspense kills.

I feel that people are deliberately not describing the rope trick to us. I call shenanigans on this whole thread.

The rope trick = a man with a rope and a unicycle. When they come together something magical happens.

not to bash anything, good job with whatever the hell your going off on, but i’m pretty sure no one these days except freestylers care about the fricken levels anymore. Seriously, i used to imagin how cool it’d be to become a level 7 or higher rider or something, but theres no point. All its saying is that youve got too much time on your hands, or your wasting effort to have a number assigned to yourself, and when in the real world of some other comp like street or trials, you would not be able to do anything. (not saying that street or trials riders cant be high in levels, or a person high in levels cant be a good street or trials rider, just it doesnt matter much)

idk. No offence, but i could care less for levels.

and i think “the rope trick” may be slacklining on a unicycle, or riding a rope with your tire on.

WHAT’S THIS TRICK!!! I wanna know! lol it’s so confusing!

I love this post so much is hurts… The “real world” of street and trials riding? What about freestyle competitions, seems that leveling up certainly would help with those, eh? Freestyle comps have been around a lot longer than street and trials comps. “Wasting time” learning freestyle skills instead of practicing trials and street? What? Man, they shouldn’t even make freestyle unicycles anymore. What a waste of time and materials.

Maybe this thread is FOR freestylers? They are unicyclists too, ya know!
