Normally I just buy what ever cola that is on sale that week… saw a 2
liter bottle of Pepsi for $0.79 grabbed it and went home…
then I find out to my disgust it’s lemon flavored Pepsi!! ick It smells
like lemon Pledge and kinda tastes like it to. (Not that I make it a habit
of drinking Pledge)

Yeah, it did not stand up well to being exposed to light, it pressurized
the glass bottles. I picked one out of a coooler at a gas station, it
imploded in my hand, leaving tiny fragments of glass everywhere. The top
popped off and hit another bottle, causing it to explode as well.

Something about the coloration of a normal soda help absorb sun and heat.
The clear fomula actually would fizz in the bottle and make it super
pressurized. Dr. Pepper had the same problem for quite some time, but they
were able to solve it by changing the formula slightly. Crystal Pepsi
never was a big seller, so they just pulled it.
