Led zepplin fans ?

I bought every cassette they made in the 70’s and 80’s. Again and again, after my crap deck would “eat” one. After “inside the out door”, it all went piss for some reason IMHO.

So there is no good news, Zep wise, until I found this today. All the rage now on Bit torrent. Studio quality alt takes. The best ! Not available for $, just for pirates !

Yep! I’m a Zep fan too!!
BTW ain’t it “in through the out door” ?

Yeah, you are right

In through the out door. Excellent. Then it went not so great IMHO.

This torrent is the real deal, all prime Zep, studio quality (not a concert take) studio out takes from the great times. The best ! All your favorite songs but done in a different part of the creative process. Alt takes!

Did you mean “In Through The Out Door”?
I remember buying all those cassettes too. Then I got my first CD player in 1986 and realized I’d have to start investing all over again. At least they didn’t wear out like the tapes did.
Also I read recently that they will be doing a tour soon with Page, Plant, Jones and Bonham’s son (who is in hiatus with the group he’s been with until recent). I read this somewhere that was discussing the upcoming Van Halen tour with David Lee Roth.
Led Zeppelin live in concert! Cool!

This is really great stuff

I’m listening to it now as I type this. I hope you guys can do bit torrent. This is all old stuff. I am not knocking their current stuff(lie, barf, cough, gag, lol) I have followed this band since Zep 1. You must download this torrent ! It is studio practice sessions for Zep 2-3-4 stuff. It’s been under a rock all these years ! Priceless !

I have all of their songs and they are seriosly awesome, one of my favourite bands. Ill have to download this cd too.

I hope this material will be made available commercially.
Call me old-school, but I kinda like to feed the musos I like.

GO LED ZEPPELIN, THEY ROCK.

I have 6 of their songs on my playlist and i’m getting 1 of their CDs from my mate. Sweeeeeet!!!

Following up perhaps on the Mark Knopfler/Emmylou Harris album, All the Roadrunning, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have come out with an album together, Raising Sand.

I’m not holding my breath, but am waiting for the Keith Richards/Dolly Parton effort.

I’m afraid it’s not a tour, just a one off gig at the O2 stadium (millenium dome) in London. You signed up, then were randomly chosen to buy a ticket at £125 each. Of course some businesses etc. were given a few.

I should add, on topic, that I’m a Led Zeppelin fan going way back.

But at the one Zeppelin concert I attended back in 1975 at Madison Square Garden, Amy Yellen broke up with me for Mitchell Balsam. And I sat in vomit. Someone else’s vomit. Kinda sucked.

I could live with a bluegrass version of The Battle of Evermore.

Led zeppelin fan?

Nope, not me.

Oh, and Billy and Janie Rod’s dad whose picture appeared in the dictionary next to the word “square” tracked us down and drove us home after the concert so we couldn’t go find some trouble.

I want to buy some albums that I already have burned for me…mainly though, it’s because the albums I want are classic, and have stood the test of time, and I just want a hard copy for sentimental reasons. That said, I have no desire to buy much of anything new…there are very few albums nowadays that are actually good. It’s all pre-packaged crap. But that’s a story for another thread.

Most of the LZ discography is on my list of stuff-to-buy, though.

You can buy the box set of CDs for $80ish, or, you can by all the LPs 2nd hand for $30ish if you shop at the right place.

Vinyl FTW!

They’re playing in London at the O2 dome.

It’s a snip at only £150 a ticket.

Unfortunately there’s no way I can justify spending so much on one gig even if it is Led Zep.

I read that that website exceeded its bandwidth limit and crashed minutes after the announcement.

Oh come on!

You’ve got that spare kidney!

I just saw this thread for some reason.

I’ve only just recently gotten into Led Zeppelin, and they’ve quickly climbed the ladder to become my favorite band. So much feeling in Plant’s voice, so much soul in PageJonesBonham’s music.
