On Monday I’ll fly to Tanzania, overnight in a hotel in the small village of Munshe and on Tuesday, along with two friends, I’ll start the accent of Mount Killimanjaro, the highest peak on the continent of Africa.
The entire mountain is a proclaimed nature reserve, so ‘unusual’ activities like mountain b*king is strictly outlawed.
Being a screaming bunny hugger, I will honour these restrictions and not attempt to uni up the mountain.
I will be taking a 12" with me and hope to become the first person to ride a unicycle on the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro.
I’m not sure if this will qualify me as the highest unicyclist in the world, I suspect Bhutan probably starts at about that height, 5895 m or 19 340 ft.
Either way, it will simply be a fun novelty pic to add to my personal collection.
tell us about your experience: my daughter wants to climb the Kilimandjaro with her father …
if suffering from high altitude: hot chocolate+brandy … but normally this would not happen if you walk up.
GILD,
I’m already in my tree looking out for you. haha,
this sounds like an awesome trip, and I can’t wait to hear all about how it went. And of course the pictures, awaiting those aswell.
can someone please tell what day Dave was looking at reaching the summit? I am to be interviewing him but the only information i recieved was that he would be leaving monday.
yes but the only info i can find about climbing this said large rock is that it takes between 4 to 6 days to climb. that is alotta time to hang around a phone waiting for it to ring.
