Good luck, I’m sure you will do fine
Mike
I hope you’ll enjoy your trip!
BTW… isn’t it “Le Havre” (France) rather than “Le Harve” (unknown to me)?
You could walk it in that time
Anyway, have a good trip mate, riding in France is much nicer than here - no steep hills compared to what we have here (although some are long in the alps) and the drivers are much more bike-friendly
Rob
you’re talking of France? can’t believe it!!!:o
BTW: he won’t make it! too many pubs and girls across the route!
Yes, I was being perfectly serious for once. It’s not so nice riding in big towns (but no worse than ours), but in general the French seem to have a much better attitude than the British towards cyclists in my experience. I’ve ridden thousands of miles in France and people just seem to treat you with more respect. My remark about hills is true as well - there are of course some long climbs in the mountains, but they’re all of a comfortable gradient - none of the ridiculously steep roads we have here (OK, I have found one or two, but only on very minor roads and never very long).
Rob
Take it easy Unicycleboy.
Don’t forget to stop every now and then to take in some of the spectacular scenery and to smell the roses.
Send us a postcard.
ah yeh sorry le havre
oh and what about riding on the wrong side of the road! thats going to take a bit to get used to haha
hmm girls, not to sure about french girls, i wont be able to understand them
and yeh pubs mmm
No problem;)
Hey I just saw your location… I’ve spent 2 weeks near bristol when I was 14-15 years old with school. We used to be in a little town called Yates if I remember well.
I went to Bristol twice or more during this trip…
Though I remember having ridden a bike only once and being pretty troubled by the “wrong side effect”, you should get used to it quiet quickly.
Great pic!
I love the clubs!
Man, paniers are so much easier than a heavy rucksack.
I remember setting off on a 100 mile+ route and within the first ten miles I was crying like a baby because my back hurt.
Take care,
Blue.
Good luck Trev. I cant wait to see you again, love the clubs.
Is the rear wheel fixed?
Mike
[Edit] He broke his back wheel, I dont mean like a fixed wheel, yea…
So is that muni on the right of the pic going to be attached by a tow-rope?
Do you know that your bottle-cage is upside-down? And also I think you are brave to not use mudguards, if it rains your gear bags and you will get sprayed with dirty water!
Anyway good luck with the trip, hope you get good weather all the way and no visits from the puncture-fairy!
23 miles a day or so? You’ll do fine.
Have fun!
Thanks for reminding me, yeh im going to get some, just not got any money as just fixed the wheel, have to wait till tommorow!
haha yeh well i put it on upside down then switched bike over. haha
whoo not long left
