LBI Unithon request

If anybody coming down to the LBI Unithon has a 26", 28" or 29" uni and can
manage to bring it along, I’d be grateful. I’ve ridden a 24" uni and a Coker
but nothing in between. All this talk about them here makes me want to give
something in this range a try.

I will be bringing my 5’ giraffe for anyone who wants to have a go at it.

Thanks,

What is the LBI Unithon?

I’ve never looked but is there a community calendar somewhere? I should look and see if there are any event forums. It’d be just like me to whine and say we should have a public world-writeable calendar somewhere for Uni events, only to discover that we already do.

I don’t know that there is anything that is complete and exhaustive, but you
can always check:

The LBI Unithon is a 18.5 mile ride held on Long Beach Island, NJ. This
year’s will be on June 22. Check out:

It’s not THAT far from Mississippi.

Raphael – I hope to be coming and expect to bring at least a Coker and a 26" Pashley MUni with a road tire and probably short cranks (around 110mm). You are of course welcome to try both. Would you like me to bring my mountain wheel too (170mm cranks)?

Perhaps this should be obvious to me, but what size wheel is the “mountain
wheel”? That notwithstanding, if you’re bringing the 26" Pashley that will
more than suffice. Basically I don’t want anyone to be inconvenienced, but
if it’s just a matter of throwing something in the car, then by all means
do.

Look forward to seeing everyone.

U-Turn,

Of course not. It would be rude to bring any more sources of ‘fun, learning, and experience’ than absolutely necessary. Of all the nerve.

( just kidding, and delaying that final bit of database code I have to write for today  )

I’ll try to bring an extra Coker and/or 28"

Now if you bring an extra Coker with one of them fancy yeller seats filled with air you could have you a bidding war on yer hands fer its use fer the ride.

Feeling chaftized…

The “mountain wheel”, despite the air of mystery, is just another wheel for the Pashley. One was the original; the other a Power MUni wheel. The 110mm cranks wouldn’t give you any sense of what a mountain uni is like; so we can swap out. Then you can do drops till you drop.

What kind of database code are you writing, Animation?
