It’s too wet! I can freestyle when it’s wet because my feet slip, and I don’t want to get soaked while distance riding, so I can’t!

No offence, but why did you get such expensive unicycles when you could probably be just fine with the standard KH stuff and a Semcycle XL or something? Just wondering…

so we talk about whatever in this thread on saturdays? thats cool. weather here is real nice- perfect temperature, but it makes no difference to anyone around here, ccuz no one comes outside. i swear sometimes i feel like that dancer in ‘dirty vegas.’ me out in my garage with the door open and when the kids come by they just stair.

There were no cheap strong unicycles available back then.
The DM ATU and DM Vortex were the first production unicycles with a splined hub. If you wanted splined back then that’s what you got.
Ditto with the KH Pros. That’s what was available. That’s the penalty for buying into a sport early when the only equipment choices are from small specialty builders.
Now the KH unicycles are made in Taiwan/China and are about 1/3 of the cost. If I was to buy my unicycle collection now I’d go with the regular KH unicycles. But that was not an option back when I bought them.
Yeah its not too hard. I just “invented” it the other day. I’ve never seen it anywere before, though I’ll bet it’s already been done.

I don’t ride the trials uni as much as I used to. I should ride it more often to practice my jumping.
Got dressed. Ate lunch. Still bored out of my mind.
At least I’m going to the nursery with my mom and then to the mall to waste money on stuff in a little bit. I’m going to get $80 from a local uni club manager for my Torker TX giraffe next Friday, so that’ll make up for today’s wasted money. 
Cool. Have you gotten the 1ft wheelwalk down yet? I know you’ve been working on it for a while, it must be that “over 35” syndrom. 
As for my uni collection, you probably know that I have:
A Torker CX 20" with a Nimbus X frame and LX Seat (for my Dad)
A Torker CX 16" (for my 7 year old brother)
A Nimbus X Wheelset with Semcycle Longneck frame and various other upgrades (for my freestyling)
A Nimbus 29er (for my distance rides)
A Torker TX Giraffe (that will be sold next Friday)
And these various parts:
Torker CX frame and seat (will be sold with giraffe on Friday)
Various frame mounting hardware extras
A Kenda Kikzumbut tire (my 3 year old neighbor is in love with it, so he is keeping it company for me :D)
Extra KH seat from Nimbus 29er (as of X-mas because I will be replacing it on my 29er for a KH Gel)
You should be able to find some creative projects to do either on the computer or something. Design something, draw something, write a small program in LOGO. You shouldn’t be stuck with not being able to figure out something to do.
My computer busywork for the day is to add more links to the links area here and to organize the video files on my computer a little bit better.

Just wait till you’re in your 30’s and you discover that learning new motor skills doesn’t come as easily as when you’re young. 
I’ve got the 1-ft ww figured out. I can make it across a gym and get back to the pedals pretty much every time now. I’m working on doing 1-ft ww in a circle now. And I’m just getting started on learning to glide. Right now I’m just practicing letting my foot drag a little bit more while 1-ft wheel walking. That’ll develop into a glide eventually.
