Can’t wait 'till this is released!
I have one of those. i own one. i feel special. lol
You should feel special… Not many people own a William Shatner.
I had an Apple ][ back then. The Commie users were always feeling superior for some reason.
I need to get me 1 of them, if it’s the latest. Then it should be superior to my 286…or is it 386 that i’m using at the moment.
WHOA!!! That’s awesome, cause i still have my SEGA Megadrive/Genesis.
well i
have a nes
OK, if this is a competition, my first machine was a 1Kb ZX81, bought in component form as a kit.
Now, who had a ZX80, or an Acorn Atom… or something with valves… or a Babbage Engine…?
Rob
i’ve got a super nintendo.
I still have AND USE my first computer; it’s a sony vaio from 1995 and yes, it still has win 95 on it and works fine! (I only use it for my excell database and word docs) It came with 32 mb ram, and i think about 500 mb HD. The monitor’s cool with built in speaks.
that probably was a 3000 dollar computer back then. nice… 500 mb harddrive?
I still remember these adds. Catchy tune. And i’ve still got mine in its box (not unopened) in my shed. Mine however was the later model with the slim keyboard and a 5.25" disc drive instead of tape player. Got a couple hundred games for it too. I used to get it out once in a while and use it for fun.
Sitting next to it in the shed is also my original Atari console with a dozen or so games.
I’ve also still got my SNES, which i just recently set up again and have been playing, the original playstation, and Xbox. Not going to buy anymore consoles unless i can find one of these.

YEah and the cpu speed is 200mb! That was state-of-the-art back then!
$2,400 back then. cpu speed was/is 200 mhz! That was stae of the art then!
robot voice Would you like to play a game?
I actually have an Acorn Atom (12K plus an additional 4 or 5 K soldered in to the memory map gaps) , also an Electron with plus 1 , and a Model B BBC micro with 5 1/4 floppy disk drives!
A couple of ZX80s and an 81.
Someone at work was throwing them out, so I offered to house them. I had to buy him coffee for a week in exchange though.
Don’t have anything with valves, but I do have a manual 80 column card punch machine, holding current pride of place in my little collection.
The model B still works ( I played Elite and Seaventure ), not tried the other machines recently.

Harper had to power his first car by running in his bare feet through a hole in the floor, does that count?
nice, i got my systemax ME in 1991 and it still plays up-to-date games and stuff. 130gb harddrive now was 40 when i got it. 2000$ in 1991. probably 600 now. held its value eh?
No, because back in those days so did everyone else.
My brother used to have a Commodore 64. That was the “good” computer. I can’t remember what the previous one was, but I think it was from Atari.
My first computer was not until 1992, when I had a 486SX at 25MHz, with a big, fat 130MB hard drive. Woo! In 1985, my roommate had two Commodore Amigas.
I didn’t want to start a new thread, so this fits roughly.
I just downloaded Spotify on my phone.
Now I’m looking for better speakers to listen to music.
Are bluetooth speakers best? Should I look for a direct line or device I drop the phone into?
Any reasonable speaker-phone recommendations for music the room can hear (i.e., not headphones)?
Thanks!
