Sorry that is not possible. You already went up in smoke

No, you did.

I do have more hair than that. It was only my face that burnt away

And now you have no face

At least I dont have to see you anymore but I can feel the medal around my neck

Do you know what happens at 10000 posts?

What happens? I’m dying to know.

I know what happens. A permanent winner is revealed.

There is a reason it is called 'Pictures of your latest ride continued.’

It could very well have changed. Old software had performance issues with very large topics. Turns out Discourse, while modern, also has performance issue with very large topics. So, the limit remains. :upside_down_face:

But not all messages are loaded when loading the page, only the last x number of posts. If every post has its own row in the database, then why would huge topics be an issue. If the table is indexed then that would also up the performance.
While scrolling up it just calls a next batch of posts, but never all of them.

But something that can stop this thread from growing is when @ManiusTerentiusPullus keeps his maniuses in his pocket and when @Raven flies off into the sunset. The others don’t post much anyways and I only reply to others which would then also stop

Yes, other people have private lives, have to work eight hours a day, commute, and still eat and sleep. My free time is limited to three hours a day, and I don’t like being on my phone all the time, wondering what’s going on in the world.

Im in the last days before my holiday and work on a computer all day. There is always time to post on unicyclist.com.

You should concentrate on your work, not on your free time. I work in a workshop, and I have neither phone reception nor internet access on my phone. I’m glad you’re about to go on vacation. I can only write here right now because I’m on vacation. After working a lot this year, including a lot of overtime. I worked six days a week at times.

I reckon you get paid extra for overtime. It is part of my contract that the boss may ask me to work overtime, but I won’t get paid extra.
My boss is on holiday 3 weeks, so I can take it a bit more easy. He will be back on Monday and won’t have time to shout at me for spending time on the uni forum
