Larry Vee in Endicott, NY

Is there a unicyclist or juggler near Endicott or Binghamton, NY who can give me a crash space on Sun. June 18? I have a 9 AM assembly in Endicott tne next day. I will happily make balloon animals for your kids or teach them to juggle, even if they have tried & failed. Or I’ll teach you nearly any reasonable trick, teach you how to do cryptograms, do very minor electrical or handywork, bring a pizza, compliment your mother-in-law, give you my 200+ page joke file, help you move anything but a body, do anything else you can think of, all for a lousy piece of your floor. Please feel free to forward or repost this. A lot of jugglers know me from IJA competitions in the '80’s & '90’s.

Could you teach me the one where you idle on a regular unicycle, while doing a hula-hoop, while spinning a juggling ring on each wrist, while juggling three balls? That one’s not very complicated compared to some of your other stuff.
You might end up a little short on sleep by the time I get the hang of it…

I would attach the photo (from the 1983 Unicycling Society of America Convention) of Larry doing it if I had it scanned. :frowning:

Anyway, Sorry, I don’t actually live in the area, but it’s great to hear you’re still out there doing your thing! Or are you up there for a lecture on physics or something? :sunglasses:

They used to have a juggling club at Binghamton, I think, but that would have been in the 80s also. I’m sure jugglers would put you up if you can reach them.

4 tricks at once

JOHN FOSS! Wow! I haven’t heard from you in years. You’re a great unicyclist. If anyone can do that, you can. You just have to do every possible combination of 2 tricks at once, then 3 & finally four. I do that trick on the uni, but with only 1 ring. I do it on a balancing board with 2 rings. It’s tough on the heart. When I die, it will be from doing long practice runs of that trick. And that’s fine. I want my last words to be “Cancel all my bookings.” Not “Oh boy! I’m finally getting out of this nursing home.”

Damn. You’ve got a place to stay outside Boston, any time.

Larry,

I wish I had seen this sooner, I’d have directed you to post on Rec.Sport, which gets a lot more traffic.
