I saw the largest 24" tyre I have even seen today. It was a Kujo 24" x 3" pinch
resitant Downhill Tyre. Not only was it 3" wide but also about that deep. It
would be really hard to bottom out on that!
The guys at my bike shop thought I might be interested in it for Muni but it
won’t fit in my current 24" frame. The rim was double walled and looked tough as
diamonds but I didn’t catch the brand. Is anyone using these tyres? It looked
impressive enough that I would consider building a custom frame for
it.

Intense also makes a 24 X 3" tire, and I’m sure that with the growing popularity
of 24" DH setups, the choice will be growing all the time. At our shop, we
customize cruisers from a 26" wheel to a 24" rim with Dyno’s 24 X 3" Fireballs
tire- it lines up exactly like the 26" wheel did with a standard tire.
Basically, your custom frame would be a fairly wide 26" frame.
