Koxx or Nimbus

I recently broke the hub on my club freestyle and once I have the money I’m planning to get myself a decent trials uni to replace it.

I’ve been looking on the forums for opinions but still can’t decide whether to go for a Nimbus II such as:
19" Nimbus Trials Unicycle
19" Nimbus ‘Bling’ Trials Unicycle

or a Koxx such as:
19" The Koxx ‘Devil’ Trials Unicycle - Gold Edition
19" The Koxx ‘White Widow’ Trials Unicycle

I know the Koxx unicycles are a bit more expensive, but are they worth that extra £30-50.

Any opinions and recommendations would be great
Thanks,
Rich

Get a Nimbus ISIS Trials with KH moment cranks… Nimbus unis are awesome, especially with moment cranks, they are almost unbreakable:) You wont regret it!

if you want a really good trial unicycle= http://www.k-124house.com/Unicycles//koxx-one/HDDB483edb66b1d64

I’m pretty sure this uni is the same thing as a Devil exept for cranks and pedals.

Either of the last two or the second of the Nimbi are good. I say upgrade the cranks to moments too. you might not “need” to right now though.

I’d go for the Koxx. Have one and it’s tough as nails.

nimbus.

but seriously, don’t get the ventures. u have to get kh moments. for me the ventures slightly bent, and i’ve never hopped on them. i weigh 175.

Are you serious? You have bent them by not hopping on them while others are hopping and jumping on them and not bending them? What does this say about your riding…

These cranks have an almost 100% record for reliability. We have had incredibly few reports of bent cranks in the year that they have been out and 1000’s have been sold - there are more out there now that all the KH cranks ever made.

The cranks are not as heavy weight as the Monents and I have been expecting them to bend under severe use but for general riding their weight advantage, cost and shape make them a great buy.

Roger

ok then…well add it to the 1% that’s not reliable. they bent for me. they’re not suitable for hopping for me. i dont trust them for hopping.

and…what about my riding? i’m a pretty good rider with good form…besides if they’re as good as you claim they’d still be solid even with a terrible rider with terrible form.

they bent for me. they’re not suitable for hopping for me. i dont trust them for hopping.

i was gliding down a hill at quite a speed and lost control and the uni had fell on its side and a crank bent sideways inward. i guarantee this wouldn’t have happened with moments. a pedal would have bent.

get the moments. they are just better. and you can get 137mm if you want.

i’ve bent tons of stuff by now. not saying they’re complete crap, but if you weigh as much as me i wouldn’t be doing too many high drops or hops

i’d much rather have the UNbreakable UNbendable kh cranks that ive done THOUSANDS of drops on with not a slightest bend. everything on the uni will break before moments. i dont find that this is the case with ventures.

oh, and besides, you’ll save 50$ buying moments when added to the uni instead of buying them outright. and you’ll need not ever worry about replacements most likely.

So choosing between a Nimbus with KH moments or the Koxx is down to personal preference?

Are there any other major differences between these two I should know?

Thanks for everyones help so far

i was actually considering a koxx myself once.

i’m not sure if they’re truly compatible with isis though. that’s why i decided against em.

nimbus…guaranteed isis.

Be sure to Google before you buy

To look for late model deals. In the spring of 08 I, and many here, bought an 07 KH 19 with ISIS, moment cranks, very close to modern, for 370 $ delivered. Being this is spring again, the fresh smell of great deals on 09 unis may be in the air.

Awesome, I’l keep an eye out.
Thanks
