Koxx One

Since we’re stooping to innuendos:

I’d ride his Koxx till my butt was sore, and then I’d lick it.

You’d lick a Koxx that’s touched your butt? Ewww! That’s just unhealthy.

It was a prototype and it had been broken a month ago.
(I don’t have news since that, I don’t know if Yoggi’s got a new one…)

Based on my understanding of science, a Cialis sticker on one it would render its rider immune to UPDs. However, this may complicate getting off at the end of a ride…

<crickets chirping>
.max

I’ve been riding one of the devil pre-sale version for 6 month… I was used to riding a KH24 (2004 model) for trials/street… looking backward I feel like I just learnt what trials means last christmas.
being a “beta rider”, I posted an article (in french) on the FFM website. I won’t translate it here but I can try and tell you what I think about this uni.
the good points:

Cranks: they look cool… they’re awesome. not “angled” and nothing to bruise your anklebones with.

Saddel: to me this is the definite version of velo saddles for trial. the shape is the same as a KH but the foam is thinner so that it is easyer to handle it in SIF tricks. the cover might be stronger but it’s still good looking.

Cheesehole rim: gives a great control on skinnies and VERY wide to prevent the tire from folding. Maybe I’m wrong but I find drops smoother as the tube can expend a little bit throught the rim holes

Axle/hub: nothing broken yet, Isis compatible. can go through several 6 feet drops without creaking (sorry, didn’t try much higher yet)

AND IT’S SO LIGHT

the negative points:

seatpost weekness (maybe I’m wrong but I’ve heard this problem has also been reported on Onza and KH).

pedals are light but to narrow and not grippy enough (as far as my shins are concerned:p).

be VERY careful about the way your pedals are mounted, never forget the outer “rondelle” (washers?) or your cranks will die soon (and they are not cheap!) and NEVER ride whith a loose pedal.

In France a 2005 KH20 is 150 euro more expensive (don’t know about US$ or CAN$) to me the wheight gain ain’t enough to justify the price difference, although the KH finition is better. but in North America it might be different (cheaper KH, more expensive Koxx)

Sorry, for not being able to follow the KOXX joke ;)… think I get it:p

I had no idea so many of you guys were into KOXX…I’m gonna start watching my back

Naughty naughty naughty!!! What’s funny is that a lot of people at my school just call me “cox,” so one time the teacher thought they were saying the other meaning, so they got in trouble! :astonished:

You have to be careful with that Cialis sticker. If you ride for more than 4 hours at a time, you might have to go to the hospital.

if you went off a big drop with the seat high, you’ll get hit in the ass by a koxx

yeah, those Koxx will really hurt if you ride it too hard, for too long. but it feels so good…

All I see is guys, do women ride Koxx?

Big Question Re Koxx

I know Koxx are a French company…but are the unicycles made in France or Taiwan? Just wondering.

They look great and I like the idea of not bashing my right ankle all the time.

Re: Koxx One

The only thing Koxx there is like 3 bike trials frame. I’m disapointed about this whole thread exept the innuendos.

Re: Re: Koxx One

Webcyclery, that’s where I bought my Koxx One Gel unicycle seat early this year.

Re: Re: Re: Koxx One

I cant find it any were on this site. Nothing unicycle related to it. I think I’ll send them an email.

koxx uni’s are built to withstand a proper beating! the cranks are wider than a wide thing!

I need to find the demensions on the Koxx One ISIS hub, Where can i get them?

Hi Evan,

you also ask me by mail. I answer in the forum for everybody …

Hub width (distance between the from centre of flange to centre of flange) = 59mm

Hub diameter (size of imaginary circle passing through all spoke holes on a hub flange) = 56mm

Spoke hole diameter (diameter of a spoke hole on a hub flange - the spoke thickness cannot be bigger than this) = 2.8mm

Bearing width (distance between the from centre of bearing to centre of bearing) = 100mm

Cheers

Roland
