Yo all! How u’s doing? i aint posted 4 a while, coz i’ve been really busy
Ive got one of them little SiPix cameras (klass for unicycling) and i’ve just been fiddling in Photoeditor on my PC, and theres some kool effects on there! (I’m putting some on my site soon)
I’ve seen some of the effects done by others, but i was just wondering what programmes do peeps use?
I’d be greatful if some one wouold be kind enough to tell me plz.
But Photoshop is expensive. If you don’t know someone, or work somewhere… it’s not something you’re likely to have unless you can afford it. However, they have a new product called Photoshop Elements (Adobe), which is supposed to do almost everything normal people need from Photoshop, with an easier interface. The nice thing is, if you ever move up to Photoshop from there, I’m sure the two will be compatible and you won’t have to relearn a bunch of stuff.
We use photoshop in Yearbook class. Youd be REALLY suprised what that can do. It can seriously make a bad picture look awesome. Im not very good at it, but i have a friend who is, and we play with it during class, just to see some affects.( he has it at his house) The simple version, isnt as fun.

The Gimp. Then again (recent thread crossover) I’m a linux geek
so it is probably the best option on that platform.
(Also available for Windows I believe…)
Earlier versions of Photoshop are available as demo versions which do everything the full versions do. I used to have 5.5 floating around a while back.

Gimp for windows is okay, a bit buggy though. Does most of the things
Photoshop does except the pro-level colour features, although you have to
get past the incredibly bad user interface, which really holds back the
power of the program compared with Photoshop.
I can get you some lesson files in pdf format that tell you how to use Photoshop. Don’t worry about downloading photoshop 7.0 off Kazaa, the companies don’t really care as long as somebody doesn’t make money off the pictures edited with the program. And I don’t think your going to be selling anything you make, so feel free to use it.
photoshop is just a great program I love it and could spend hours on it. i have photoshop cs on my pc and at school they have photoshop elements which I prefer as I find it easyer to use but yea you can do anything with a picture such as changing the light levels which can make a picture that just looks black into something amazingly bright. its worth the money
