kick up

ok ok i can do the kick up mount sometimes but it just seems like a fluke when i do it. i have the motion down and the balance is fine, but my biggest issue is that whenever i put my foot on the pedal the wheel tends to turn on me and then it just all f*#&s up…some advice would be wonderful.

by advice i mean, how can i prevent the pedal on the ground from rotating and sliding along the pavement?

I start the kick-up with my foot on the crank, instead of on the pedal. This way I can stand on the crank and not turn the wheel as I kick up the seat.

While kicking up the seat, think about jumping up… get your whole body going straight up and over top of the uni. This way you don’t put as much pressure on the pedal / crank until you get both feet on the pedals.
