I was unhappy with the wobble from my T-Bar and have found a really simple way of making it rock solid. I know other people have the same issue so I thought I would share!
Unigeezer posted a great video on how he did this but I struggled to find a bracket like the one he used.
My method is essentially the same and uses exactly this part.
173 Male Part - 27mm OD Tube A27
I cut a notch through the pipe and then drilled a hole for a bolt to go through. This way still allows movement so you can adjust it to your preference.
The handle is rock solid now. It really does make the world of a difference when you’re riding because you can put much more force into pushing and pulling on it. At the grand total of £1.54, this modification couldn’t be better. I was going to change the bar to a bent one like Kris suggests on his new bars but the position I have it in now is perfect for me! All there is to do now is paint it black.
I hope this helps someone who is having the same problem as I was and thanks for reading!
I like that, especially since it uses a standard part most of us can get easily (from the Kee Klamp railing system) and not some mystery thing you found in a scrap pile somewhere. Nice work.
Thanks guys. Yeah the set screw doesn’t need to be that tight because it’s only stopping the bar from moving back and fourth rather than up and down. In the future I might look for a more lightweight design but it is completely bulletproof for now!
