KH Spirit Hub and Spoke Washers

I’m building a 32" symmetrical wheel with a KH Spirit hub and 14g 2mm spokes. For an elbow-in (head-out) spoke there seems to be an excessive amount of space between the flange and spoke. The flange has counter-sinking on the outside. I suspect this will put more stress on the J bend. To alleviate this I’m considering using VeloFuze brass spoke washers between the spoke head and flange for this build. See pics below. Note I’m just holding the spoke in the pics.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience with these washers?

I‘ve used spoke washers from UDC for my Schlumpf wheel build. I think they make a lot of sense, depending on the situation. In your case they certainly do IMO. I painted mine black for esthetic reasons.
