Nice catch Levi!
lol:D
Well I’m fairly well informed and I am told that Koxx will ot be making a sudden switch between Koxx isis and the true ISIS.
Rumour has it (and this is a rumour from behind closed doors) that Koxx have been slowly altering the design of their isis over time and it is already substantially closer to ISIS than it was when it was released.
It may be that in the near future if you buy Koxx cranks for an old Koxx hub both labelled as ISIS they will be incompatible.
But hey, it’s just a rumor.
Plumsie.
That’s good that Koxx are doing that. I hope this is true. But Koxx aren’t going to confirm it until all their current hubs and cranks are sold I reckon.
Otherwise they’d be doing themselves in their own arses, metaphorically speaking. There’d be a massive surplus of their old K-ISIS once the world’s ISIS takes over their hub/cranksets so they’d better get rid of it soon.
This is weird though… on their bikes, the Try-All ISIS cranks and ISIS bottom brackets are proper ISIS that work with every other brand.
just to remind you guys. this form is meant for KH brand discussion.![]()
how does this sound??
kris should make the rounded part knurled like crazy… so that it willl be grippy where you need it ![]()
Sounds good to me:D
08 KH’s should come standard with a carbon fibre seatbase.
Looking at my bike seatpost, I could make one very easily if I could find one made from CrMo and not Aluminum.
+10000000000000000000000000.
And Several color options for frames and a black hub for a change! (This has probably been requested already, but w/e)
hmm i dont think that would cut it. the knurled part of the kh frame isnt amazingly grippy which
is fine because it doesnt need to be that grippy there and does the job fine…i just dont think
that only knurling the rounded crank of the crank would cut it.

I wouldnt like having nurling on the cranks, seeing as I dont ride flat (because it sucks :D) How hard is it just to put some grip tape on your cranks?
its not like you would notice any difference, i ride with griptape and it doesnt effect my street riding, just my opinion:p
It doesnt look as nice though :o
the knurling on the frame is weak. he could do MUCH better on the cranks, especially since they aren’t painted.
As for me, I like the silver cranks.
Painted cranks will be not painted for long so I’m cool with the silver.

no, i’m saying keep the silver for sure. the knurling could just be on that one part of the crank, perhaps polished as well, that would be a big plus… i’m saying this and i don’t even do flatland very much at all.
Knurling is really overrated and really overhyped to be honest. It’ll just be more effort for the manufacturer and can prompt further rises in price. Plus it doesn’t look very neat. Doing it to the cranks’d be silly as when you do grinds or crankgrabs (yes, it happens on occasion even to the strictest of all pedalgrabbers) it will ruin the knurling texture. It’s cheaper, easier, and WAY more effective to use griptape. Plus it’s replaceable too incase it wears out, unlike knurling.
Griptape does a much better job of gripping your feet. You can get different grades of griptape too…
A friend of mine uses clear griptape, which you can buy off ebay very cheaply and easily. This has tiny crystal-like grains which protrude a bit more than the sandy texture of normal skateboard black griptape, so it is better in the wet and also looks more ‘low profile’ due to its clear colour.
Of course, different brands of griptape have different textures and grain thickness. The Jessups brand is pretty good for one.
I can’t seem to find the spoke length for the current trials wheelset? Is it 13g, 171mm?
