It’s not an equation, it’s an arithmetic expression. As such, it is fine just the way it is. There is nothing that can be solved. Unless you are asking that the expression be simplified. (sorry, I couldn’t resist)

(4,3,2,1 being powers)

That’s not an equation either, but it may be an eqation. I don’t know what that is.
That’s a polynomial expression equal to 5x2+x+2.
An example of an equation would be 2x+5=10, in which x=2.5, or 5x2+43x+56=0 in which x=-7 or -8/5.
