Ah, im all stoked up. I just ordered the Summit Trials unicycle with the KH seat as an upgrade from my old black torker. I can’t WAIT till this thing comes. Anyways, i just wanted to hear from people who have this Uni about how they like it and what sorts of things you can do with it. some little tidbits to tide me over until i get it. If you have a video of this thing in action PLEASE POST IT!!! I am a little worried about the weight, has that been a problem to you? does it hold you back from doing high jumps?
i got mine about a month ago, i think its put simply beautiful, about the weight, i can tell you that the musles in my arm certainly grew bigger, but considering my previous uni was a miyata, that wasnt that much of a surprise.
i cant really coment on what i can do with it, because, first im still a trials begginer, and also because i still dont have any leg armour (im waiting for the kris holm`s, WHEN ARE THEY COMMING OUT???) and i am much afraid of pins…:o
it’s a bit heavy, and it did take me a bit to get used to it. But i’m doing some really impressive trials stuff on it and i’m quite pleased with myself.
Hope you like it.
By the way… you said you wanted to see it in action? Kevin McMullen, who is in my opinion one of the best street unicyclists, uses a summit (only with a miyata saddle) check out his gallery. be sure to dowload the movie… it’s freaking SWEET
my husband got his summit a couple of months ago, and he is 210 (in shape) lbs so the summits weight is not a factor for him, although for me at 120 it is kinda heavy… he can do 4 foot drops with it and ride down stairs and it holds up very well and also before the summit he had a 48 spoke unistar as well… which held up about 5 months before the hub was severely bent… anyways, one thing you might have to do with your summit is take it to a local bike shop and get the shop to true it (evenly tighten the spokes), ours needed it really bad, an we also we read alot about other peoples experience with new summits, and they said the same thing, the only other thing besides the spokes would be you have to really tighten the cranks after every couple of rides, unless your really light… Overall It is a GREAT uni for a GREAT price!! I just ordered me one too… I cant wait!!! Enjoy!!
I bought it at the beginning of the summer, and it was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself as far as unicycling goes.
I was worried about the cranks, but I got used to it so fast. I rarely get jabbed in the ankle by them… The cranks have come loose about 2 times since the beginning of the summer, and the nuts for the saddle handle have come loose a few times. But, the Summit is an incredible deal at $250 ! Hey, it was funny, because if you go to www.infiniteillusions.com , its $400! What’s up with that?
Hey, I attached a clip of me hopping on some benches…
