I was just booked for a new TV commercial. My agent had submitted me for the role of the ventriloquist, and she called me to say that the casting agent booked me on the spot after seeing a few of my ventriloquist videos on youtube!
It’s a famous company and product you all will know, but I can’t give specifics yet. They want us to wear matching outfits, and as soon as I get another bowtie, we’ll match pretty good. I know, which one’s the dummy, haha! We shoot tomorrow!
I wonder if you could squeeze a uni jump in at the end. Like you and Clarence are going to ride to the store. " I thought you said we were going to ride a bicycle built for two down to the store".
“We are Clarence.”
Well doesn’t this worry you ? (shot poised with you on the uni in front of a big drop). I think half of something we need to do this is missing.
“That’s OK Clarence , you don’t have legs to reach the pedals, you’ll never miss it”
“I was talking about your brains.”
Then Clarence screams while you ride off a drop and head off down a hill.
OK, I was just used to the name Clarence. Did you like my joke? Really, I liked it. Sure, the “missing a wheel angle” is not fresh on a uni forum, but it will work for your targeted audience. 99.9 % of people in recent survey’s are not yet over missing wheel jokes.
I also just took a secret survey of the forum, and 99.9 % of us want to see the great Terry represent us with a big drop in his commercial.
Yeah I liked it, but they actually already have a unicyclist booked! My agent had asked if she should submit me for the vent part or the unicyclist. I asked what type of riding they wanted, and as soon as she said they need “a juggler who can ride one of those tall unicycles”, I opted for the ventriloquist. So in this case, it was good to have a backup skill! (But like I mentioned earlier, I’m still bringing a couple unis just in case, and also to ride around on during those long, boring breaks where nothing’s happening!)
Have you heard of his uncle, the policeman? His name is Cop-a-Squat.
Good luck with the production! Bring a giraffe if you have one; who knows? Their unicyclist might suck! I guess you already know this from that Ford commercial…
Call time was 9am tgis morning and we just wrapped at 7:30pm! Long day but oh what a fantastic commercial it will be! I was lucky enough to have one of the “super closeups” too! I’ll let you all know when it hits air!
Got a fun shot with two of the Cheerleaders from yesterday’s commercial shoot, between rehearsals. The Director is on the right. I only wish I was the one in the middle!
