just a question...

Do you have to get a web site to host your domain when you register it, and is there a time limit?

Re: just a question…

Technically, you don’t HAVE to get a web site to host your domain name at the time you register it. You can register a domain name and NOT have a website.

If you would like a website, you will need to find a web host for your domain name.

As far as a time limit. When you register the domain name, you decide how long you would like to own the domain name for, from 1 to 10 years. You can do whatever you like with your domain name in that time (do nothing at all, get it hosted, sell it). At the end of that time period, you can decide whether or not you would like to renew the domain name for a longer period of time.

I hope this helps!
