jump mounts

for the jump mounts is it okay (according to IUF regulations) to jump on with the seat out in front?

Also, with the rolling mounts, is it as easy as i think or is there a catch?

Hola
Jump mount and jump mount to seat in front are two totally different things. The definition of a normal jump mount is to on the seat and pedals.
For rolling mount, when your dominate foot is on its way down, begin to step forward.
Good Luck!

i understand how to do a rolling mount but i am wondering about the specifics: does the wheel need to maintain constant speed? when i do a rolling mount the wheel slows down ALMOST to a stop when my second foot is getting on the pedal.

do a jump mount seat in and jump mount seat out count as two mounts (IUF rules)? Also with suicide?

suicide mount with seat out front?
what’s the fun in that?

unless u go straight into riding with the seat on the ground in front
that’ll be pretty impressive

No, but it has to maintain at least SOME forward speed.

That is OK for a rolling mount.

If the crank is moving then it really sounds as if it’s loose. - onewheeldave trying to pinpoint the cause of a clicking crank

I like the running jump mount!

Joe,

Wow, I like it too! Is that you, Joe?

Yup, its me.

First time Id tried it. Yoggi was videoing.
Credit goes to Simon (lying down) he was the bravest!

Joe,

i rememer a long time ago, when i had just learned to ride with one foot, (my first trick) somebody gave me a flyer for the u.s.a. or i.u.f. or something, it had a picture of somebody in mid air doing a flying jump mount, i can remember it clearly to this day.

i forgot about the trick for a long time though and it just occoured to me one day when i was teaching unicycle tricks in germany, i tried it and it worked first time.
if you can do a jump mount and land a small drop it should be possible without much practice.
