I have been trying to come up with an idea for some cheap, homemade juggling clubs. Here is a picture of what I came up with.
Both sets are 20" long. One set is made of 3/4" wooden dowel rod and the other set is 7/8" dowel rod. The other “ingredients” are automobile heater hose and rubber chair tips. Everything came from a local hardware store.
The heater hoses are 3/4" inside diameter and 7/8" inside diameter. The chair tips are (what else?) 3/4" and 7/8"
The heater hose can be adjusted up and down to “tune” the spin of the club. The 7/8" clubs are acutally sort of heavy and rough on the hands. The 3/4" clubs are light.
The silver handle is duct tape. Someone with a little more imagination could decorate these with colored tape and make them look good.
The other classic is to cut the top off a half litre pop bottle and stick it over the ‘club’ end. Incidently, you can get a set of clubs for less than £10 and although they’re not great they’ll probably be easier ot learn on than home brewed ones, would certainly be worth it if you get past the stage of just trying it out.
dude, hammers are for hitting things. not juggling. also if you want quality home brew juggling clubs, google for newspaper juggling clubs. there’s a few different sets of instructions. all with newspaper and duct tape. super cheap and they feel alright. about as good as a set of $15 clubs a friend bought. i’m still in love with my $35/each renegades though…
Lol, nothing like a set of £20 each Beard Trans Euros, gorgeous club. I agree with Mojoe, my favourite is the combination of: one 12 oz claw hammer, one 2lb mini-sledge hammer and a small hatchet, got to watch that edge and the claws though !
Sounds cool. I found this set of balls the other day in the building where I work. They’re about 4 inches in diameter and have the weight written on the side. They range in weight from 0.5 kg to 3.0 kg. They look like something used for exercise but I’m not sure how. It’s a challenge to try juggling the 0.5, 1.5 and 3.0 balls. The different weights make it difficult.
