Well, this is fun - not!
I am so bored, that I have started a thread to let everyone know just how bored I am.
I might aswell let you know what I have been up to lately:
25th June - Last GCSE exam (Statistics - boring!) followed by a beach party, ehm, on the beach! That was good - I took my school books and burnt them in a fire. We then found some wood, and kept the fire going from about 3pm to 7pm. Loads of people were there, but numbers began to fall, so in the end there was just me and my mate, bout 7 of us in all. It was fun, and went in the sea (The North East - not warm!!!)
26th to 27th June: York Cycle rally. This was a great weekend. Me and my dad went on the saturday. We set off at bout 8, and got there just after 10. From about 10 oāclock, we listened to Jonathan Ross on the radio for a bit on radio. He is great - so funny, whitty and has some of the best guests on his show! I love his talk show on Fridays too. Oh, hope he is on tonight! The resident band, $ Poofs and a piano are cool too!
Anyways, we got there (York) the sun was out, and we went to register. We also had a quite look round the trade stands, and then got back to the car to but the tent up, but it started to rain! The rain was only light, but we decided to put it up laterā¦ so back into the trade tents we went.
Cut a long story sort, we got the tent up, had a great day, went to the pub after tea (beans and saussages cooked on our new camping hob) and then some live music in a big tent - very enjoyable. The weather throughout the day was rather rainy - but it was really fun playing with recumbents on grass, as you can go into a corner, pull the hand brake, and skid. I managed to tip mine over a few times
On sunday, I woke about 8, maybe 9, to find that the only wash facilities were COLD water in a washing up bowlā¦ not good. I had a face wash, and then had some breakfast. It was lovely - bacon, saussage and eggs Yumm yumm I then brushed my teeth.
We had a wonder about, a play on some recumbents, and a mess about with the unis. We also went on a big ride out thing. Loads of the cyclists from the rally met at the minister, and we all rode back. I kept up no problem on my Muni. Its great riding in a group of cycleists especially with so many weird and wonderful different bikes. Support from the public watching was great too
Simon and Arron Rolph came at about 12 ish, and we had a mess about with the unis and a look round the strand stands again. Not to mention the recumbent try out stand
There was racing in the main areana, but it didnt really appeal to me, so I got chatting to a few people who had unis. Not with them, but they could ride. I was handing out unicycle.com card to people that were interested, and letting people have a go of mine. A couple of guys even had a go, well, sit on, of my 6footer. I hadnt free mounted it in ages, so i started practicing. With about 30mins practice, I soon got it.
At about 3, me and Aaron did a trials demo in the main arena. It was cool. There wasnt all that much to play on, as the organisers said there would be a trials course, but all there was were some pallets left by the police! Anyways, we did as much as we could with what we had, and also we had comentry from Jez (forgot his surname, but he is a stunt rider who was on before us).
I had a play around on my giraffe, faking falling off, which go the crowd going a little.
The photographer, Jason, took some pics, so if i can find them, i wll post them up. I also have some pics on my camera, and will post them soon.
I am now bored about writing about this, but basicly, we got home safe,it was a great weekend, and I got sunburnt.
28th June: Nothing happens - im bored. Oh yeah, I went to the Job Centre, or Job Centre Plus, as they call it, and looking for a job. Had no lookā¦ the guy was no help was so ever, and basicly said, your too young, you cant get a jobā¦ (NOTE: I am 16)
29th June: Goes to a different local Job Centre for a recruitment day for Greggs (a bakers which originates from Newcastle, my home town). I filled out the application form, and then the guy said I could have an immediate interview. I wasnt realy prepared for it, but it seemed to go wellā¦
30th June: wake up at bout 8.30am, but dont get up until about 11. Listen to radio. Went for an apptitude/selection test for North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC), which is an apprenticeship provider. Test goes swimmingly. I then register at my local connexons office that i am ālooking for workā so my mum gets tax thing, or something. Going home, I got caught in the biggest rain shower I have seen for ages! The rain was bouncing up to my knees! The garden is now flooded. At 4.30pm I start getting ready to go out. Its the under 18ās night again tonight in town. At 5.15, some mates call on me and then we walk round my other mates house and wait till more people arrive, then get the metro up to town (takes about 45mins) laughing all the way. The night was pritty good, but the best bit of the night is always going to the Turkish take away afterwards. We go all the time after we have been out in town, no matter where we have been. Last time we walked for about 15mins to get to it from the other side of town, covered in foam after a foam party Anyways, I get a quarter pounder with cheese and salad, and chips and a can of coke. The burger has a really hard crusty bun, not all that nice - but you just have to eat it! I get in at about 11.07pm.
1st July: Got a phone call to say that I got the job in Greggs, so I was pritty happy. I dont start until the 31st July coz of holiday, but at least I know I have the job.
Today is also book returns day at school, so I take all the text books I took from school back. Time to say bye to some of my mate which live a little distance from me, as the next time I see them will be the end of august, for results day. The weather is still how if has been all week - on off rain, with some sunny spells.
The rain eased off, so I washed my dads car - its not an easy job, as he is a painter, and get the car really dirty, but I earned Ā£10!!! I got all the stuff ready for hockey, and we set off at 6.15. In the car we listened to Dire Straights, which I bought my dad for Fathers day. We both like it, although my dad tends to sing to bits :s and i think its a bit slow for my liking.
We get to hockey at 7, and find out we are in the big hall and it finished at 9
The usual suspects are there: Derek, Laura and Roger. We mess around for a bit, and i get back into the swing of riding my freestyle, as I aint been to the club and riden my uni for 6 weeks. Laura is as usual - a pain!
Only joking. I love her really, but i cant remember what she was doing now, but it was annoying meā¦ haha. Anyways, we had a cool game of hockey, but coz i aint played for 6 weeks, i was pritty shite! We were also playing a bit with a tennis ball, as that is what will be used at UniCon, so Roger was practicing! BEWARE!!!
O the way home, we had the sound of The Animals blasting out of the speakers. I love āoldā music. Especially the Who. They r my fav. Get home, have a quick shower, and then go to bed.
(ran out of spaceā¦)
