Joes Life....

Well, this is fun - not!

I am so bored, that I have started a thread to let everyone know just how bored I am.

I might aswell let you know what I have been up to lately:

25th June - Last GCSE exam (Statistics - boring!) followed by a beach party, ehm, on the beach! That was good - I took my school books and burnt them in a fire. We then found some wood, and kept the fire going from about 3pm to 7pm. Loads of people were there, but numbers began to fall, so in the end there was just me and my mate, bout 7 of us in all. It was fun, and went in the sea (The North East - not warm!!!)

26th to 27th June: York Cycle rally. This was a great weekend. Me and my dad went on the saturday. We set off at bout 8, and got there just after 10. From about 10 oā€™clock, we listened to Jonathan Ross on the radio for a bit on radio. He is great - so funny, whitty and has some of the best guests on his show! I love his talk show on Fridays too. Oh, hope he is on tonight! The resident band, $ Poofs and a piano are cool too!
Anyways, we got there (York) the sun was out, and we went to register. We also had a quite look round the trade stands, and then got back to the car to but the tent up, but it started to rain! The rain was only light, but we decided to put it up laterā€¦ so back into the trade tents we went.
Cut a long story sort, we got the tent up, had a great day, went to the pub after tea (beans and saussages cooked on our new camping hob) and then some live music in a big tent - very enjoyable. The weather throughout the day was rather rainy - but it was really fun playing with recumbents on grass, as you can go into a corner, pull the hand brake, and skid. I managed to tip mine over a few times :stuck_out_tongue:
On sunday, I woke about 8, maybe 9, to find that the only wash facilities were COLD water in a washing up bowlā€¦ not good. I had a face wash, and then had some breakfast. It was lovely - bacon, saussage and eggs  Yumm yumm I then brushed my teeth.
We had a wonder about, a play on some recumbents, and a mess about with the unis. We also went on a big ride out thing. Loads of the cyclists from the rally met at the minister, and we all rode back. I kept up no problem on my Muni. Its great riding in a group of cycleists especially with so many weird and wonderful different bikes. Support from the public watching was great too
Simon and Arron Rolph came at about 12 ish, and we had a mess about with the unis and a look round the strand stands again. Not to mention the recumbent try out stand
There was racing in the main areana, but it didnt really appeal to me, so I got chatting to a few people who had unis. Not with them, but they could ride. I was handing out unicycle.com card to people that were interested, and letting people have a go of mine. A couple of guys even had a go, well, sit on, of my 6footer. I hadnt free mounted it in ages, so i started practicing. With about 30mins practice, I soon got it.
At about 3, me and Aaron did a trials demo in the main arena. It was cool. There wasnt all that much to play on, as the organisers said there would be a trials course, but all there was were some pallets left by the police! Anyways, we did as much as we could with what we had, and also we had comentry from Jez (forgot his surname, but he is a stunt rider who was on before us).
I had a play around on my giraffe, faking falling off, which go the crowd going a little.
The photographer, Jason, took some pics, so if i can find them, i wll post them up. I also have some pics on my camera, and will post them soon.
I am now bored about writing about this, but basicly, we got home safe,it was a great weekend, and I got sunburnt.

28th June: Nothing happens - im bored. Oh yeah, I went to the Job Centre, or Job Centre Plus, as they call it, and looking for a job. Had no lookā€¦ the guy was no help was so ever, and basicly said, your too young, you cant get a jobā€¦ (NOTE: I am 16)

29th June: Goes to a different local Job Centre for a recruitment day for Greggs (a bakers which originates from Newcastle, my home town). I filled out the application form, and then the guy said I could have an immediate interview. I wasnt realy prepared for it, but it seemed to go wellā€¦

30th June: wake up at bout 8.30am, but dont get up until about 11. Listen to radio. Went for an apptitude/selection test for North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC), which is an apprenticeship provider. Test goes swimmingly. I then register at my local connexons office that i am ā€˜looking for workā€™ so my mum gets tax thing, or something. Going home, I got caught in the biggest rain shower I have seen for ages! The rain was bouncing up to my knees! The garden is now flooded. At 4.30pm I start getting ready to go out. Its the under 18ā€™s night again tonight in town. At 5.15, some mates call on me and then we walk round my other mates house and wait till more people arrive, then get the metro up to town (takes about 45mins) laughing all the way. The night was pritty good, but the best bit of the night is always going to the Turkish take away afterwards. We go all the time after we have been out in town, no matter where we have been. Last time we walked for about 15mins to get to it from the other side of town, covered in foam after a foam party :stuck_out_tongue: Anyways, I get a quarter pounder with cheese and salad, and chips and a can of coke. The burger has a really hard crusty bun, not all that nice - but you just have to eat it! I get in at about 11.07pm.

1st July: Got a phone call to say that I got the job in Greggs, so I was pritty happy. I dont start until the 31st July coz of holiday, but at least I know I have the job.
Today is also book returns day at school, so I take all the text books I took from school back. Time to say bye to some of my mate which live a little distance from me, as the next time I see them will be the end of august, for results day. The weather is still how if has been all week - on off rain, with some sunny spells.
The rain eased off, so I washed my dads car - its not an easy job, as he is a painter, and get the car really dirty, but I earned Ā£10!!! I got all the stuff ready for hockey, and we set off at 6.15. In the car we listened to Dire Straights, which I bought my dad for Fathers day. We both like it, although my dad tends to sing to bits :s and i think its a bit slow for my liking.
We get to hockey at 7, and find out we are in the big hall  and it finished at 9  The usual suspects are there: Derek, Laura and Roger. We mess around for a bit, and i get back into the swing of riding my freestyle, as I aint been to the club and riden my uni for 6 weeks. Laura is as usual - a pain! :stuck_out_tongue: Only joking. I love her really, but i cant remember what she was doing now, but it was annoying meā€¦ haha. Anyways, we had a cool game of hockey, but coz i aint played for 6 weeks, i was pritty shite! We were also playing a bit with a tennis ball, as that is what will be used at UniCon, so Roger was practicing! BEWARE!!! :stuck_out_tongue:
O the way home, we had the sound of The Animals blasting out of the speakers. I love ā€˜oldā€™ music. Especially the Who. They r my fav. Get home, have a quick shower, and then go to bed.

(ran out of spaceā€¦)

(contā€¦)

Oh, I just remembered something!! Roger asked if I wanted to go to Bristol to see Trev in his show, but I couldnt make it! He was setting off on the 2nd, and not coming back until the 3rd (sat), and I am busy on the 3rd(ā€¦ read on). Anyways, he was going to Leighs house too. Simon is there, so he was picking him up too. I have never been to leighs house, but will hopefully will some time. Hope the show goes well trev!

2nd July: its today! Nothing really exciting happened. After getting up at 10.30am and talking to Ben (thinuniking) I desided to go out on my trials. I am SO out of practice, i did really do all that much. I took my camera out, and got some pics of me wheel walking and stuff. Ill put them on my comp soon, and then maybe post some. My mate rang me when I was out on my trials down the seafront, and asked if I wanted to meet him for lunch at the sandwich bar. I said, ā€˜Yeah, why notā€™, so I set off home (on my trials, like 5mph) and was about a mile from home, so was going to take me about 10, 15 mins. Anyways, I set off, and it starts to rain. I ride a bit faster, but im already soaked through. I didnt care anymore! I just took my time, enjoying riding in the rain, and rode some walls too - getting strange looks off people in cars, nice and warm! I got home about half an hour later, and got changed, dried a bit and went to my mates house. We then went to the sandwich bar was always go to on fridays when we were at school. If anyone is interested, it is called Esplins, and I got Chicken Tikka. It was lovely!
That now brings me to now this minuteā€¦ wait a sec, someone at the door! It was the window cleaner. I am talking to the ThinUniKing on MSN, and listening to random music I got off WinMX.

My plans:
3rd July: Ride over in the Lakes with Simon and Arron Rolph (CumbriaMuni club) for the BBC - should be fun

10th July: ride in a street parade with my unicycle club. Hope the weather is nice for both the 3rd and the 10th!

13th July: I got on Holiday to france. woohoo :frowning: Spend 6 hours in the car! Iā€™d much rather go to Holland, as I am only 15 mins from the Port, and I love Holland. No doubt I will enjoy France, but just the thought of spending six hours in the car with your mum dad and sister is making me cringe. I want to go france to meet up with Yoggi again. I think I will be going next year hopefully. Maybe Simon might want to come with me. Yoggi lives in Tolouse, but the Bike Express goes there, so I will hopefully catch that, and back again.

Cool, Iā€™m listening to the Beach Boys - Surfinā€™ USA!

Anyways, I get from holiday on 28th July, and then start work for Greggs (well, a training day) on the 31st. That means my first days work will be on the 2nd Aug. Hopefully, I will hear something about my apprenticeship soon.

Anyways, that is all I have been up to. Also, in my spare time surfin the net, not only have I been on unicyclist.com, but I have also been looking at VW (mainly Split Screen) websites, as on the 24th June, Roger gave me a lift to the pub after hockey in his van - I love it! Cant wait till I get mine! :stuck_out_tongue: Im getting a Vespa first though. Going to Mod it - mirrors, chrome etc

If anyone reads all of this, they must be so very boredā€¦

If there is anything I have forgoten to include, I might include it in an update.

I will keep you posted on how my life is shaping up - the ups and the downsā€¦

ride that wheel,

Joe,

Re: Joes Lifeā€¦

Laura is as usual - a pain! :stuck_out_tongue: Only joking. I love her really, but i cant remember what she was doing now, but it was annoying meā€¦ haha. Anyways, we had a cool game of hockey, but coz i aint played for 6 weeks, i was pritty shite!

i am not a pain! (note i did nt start a thread about how evil you are!)
yes joe is evil!!!
any wayā€¦ you better love me  and it was you who was being annoying- you threw balls at me ALL night, you DRAGD me into the boys toilets  and you never gave me my hug so there!
no you wernt shiteā€¦just your usuall :stuck_out_tongue:  note: i scored 6 goals! on the opposite team to joe! :stuck_out_tongue:

oh andā€¦

ermā€¦
i cant remember!!!

oh yeah! they all had a big discussion at uni club about how i was EVIL!!! :frowning: ( ) LOL and guess who started it ā€¦ JOE!

oh well i guess people just pick on me ā€¦ :frowning:

laura xxx

i had best counter your thread with a minimalistic reply

Ok, so you didnt start a thread saying how evil I am, because i am not!

I didnt throw the balls at u all night. Only when U had my phone. TBH, I cant rememberā€¦

Course I love you really! You just annoy me sometimes when u nic me hockey stick and stuffā€¦ but your a girl eeew! (LOL) so it is expected.

And i didnt give u a hug coz u didnt deserve one last night!

I was shite at hockey. I hadnt played for six weeks! I was knackerd by the end of the first half. At least I go after the ball, and play with tactics (cant spell that), and I have a 20" wheel. You have a 24", but just sit at the goal waiting for the ball to roll over! :stuck_out_tongue: Yeah, you scored 6 when we were playing rush goaly, as there was only 3 on our team, but you had 4! Bearing in mind the first half we won like 5 - 1, and I scored at least 4! Remember we were one man down too!

Hey, Fred. Thanks alot, mate!

Oh, and Friday Night with Jonathan Ross is NOT on tonight :frowning: There is nothing on TV, so i think I wil b sitting on MSN, sorting out my pics and gallery, and packing my stuff for the ride in Cumbria tomorrow! Oh, Iā€™d better recharge my camera.

Anyone like The Truman Show?

Joe,

People! people! Donā€™t blame it on each other! Show us some love! Blame it on Satan!

Owen

wow Joe that was alot of words that i just briefly read, you must of been really bored to write that much!!

Trev

Wow, i agree, for some one who is so bored you seem to have lots going on! Congrads on your job, you will be sick of it very soon unless they let you ride your unicycle while cooking pasties :stuck_out_tongue:

Siā€™s on his way home now, you guys should go for a ride one weekend if your boredā€¦ you can challenge each other more :stuck_out_tongue: and you guys going to see yoggie would be great fun for you

Yeh, iā€™m sure you will come to my house one day :stuck_out_tongue:

Trevā€™s show was great! really enjoyed it, his unicycle routine was excellent had me laughing all they way through it!!!

Have fun with the BBC thing

Leigh

hey. Quite a few replies!

at the moment I am not so boredā€¦ and dont have as much time on my hands to type muchā€¦ so I will wait until i am bored before I reply againā€¦ its company policy!

Joe,

Trevā€™s show was absolutely fantastic!

He is a star!

But not sure about his new taste in clothesā€¦ it was not just that he was wearing a dress, but that he stated ā€œI prefer dresses to trousersā€. :-S

Look what Bristol has done to him!

Roger

I read all of itā€¦ but one thing I must say.

Your a bit of a wuss Joe :stuck_out_tongue: 6 hours in the car to get to another country. Itā€™s a 6 hour flight for me to get to the otherside of this country. God knows how long it is to drive there.

But when we go on holidays and are driving somewhere we usually go to a place thatā€™s 3 hours drive away, about 3 times a year. Another place thatā€™s 6 hours drive away that we go to about every 3 years. And another place thatā€™s another 6 hours drive away that we go to every two years.

To finish it offā€¦ quit yo whining :stuck_out_tongue:

Lol well the scotish get away with wearing kilts. Ive just got back home from night out and was quite funny outside doing circus stuff for a laugh and also carrying the tutti fruity kareoke bar with us. ill post a little pic

Trev

I dont know wether to go to bed aswell its 5am and im wide awake.

kar.jpg

ahh one of histories great bands, along with the beatles, beach boys, troggs, t rexā€¦the list goes on

Helloā€¦

Leigh, yeah, I have lots going on, but its the time in between whenI get stupidly bored!
I am looking forward to starting work. I think I might get bored, butIā€™m only staying there for 6weeks or so.
I spoke to Si on msn for a bit the other day. Get more sense out of him if you speak to him face to face thoughā€¦ well, as much sense as you will outta Si! :stuck_out_tongue: Heā€™s class!

Cool, Im pleased Trevs show was good! Roger ask me if I wanted to come and see it with youā€™s, but it was the BBC thing on the saturday, and Roger wouldnt be getting back till the afternoon. Unfortunatly, the BBC ride was called off coz of the weather, which means I could of came! :frowning: Never mind, Iā€™m sure Iā€™ll see Trev perform soon!
Roger, I have your Ā£10 for the cranks! lol. I forgot it last week!

Robbie, as for traveling, I love being in the car, itā€™s not the six hours with the whole family down to the south coast I was on about, it was just the fact that I live 15mins away from the Ferry Port to Holland. I would much prefer to go Holland than France, unless I was going to see Yoggi of corse! :stuck_out_tongue:

Trev, cool pic! :stuck_out_tongue: Sounds like you had a blast! Wish I could of saw your showā€¦ Maybe the next one!

TreePotato, all I hve to say is

Right, so nowā€¦ what have I been up to?
Well, on friday, we were getting packed to go over to the lakes for a Muni with the Rolphs, but it had to be called off due to the weather. So, on saturday I had a bit of a lazy day. Me and my dad went and test drove a VW Transporter (well, i didnt drive it :(). My dad is putting a deposit down on it. Later, we went to Matalan, but I didnt get anything. Got my dad some shorts. Exciting!
OH, but that night my mate had a party. It was great. Just chillnā€™. Didnt leave ill 12.45, and got home at 1.15. I couldnt get to sleep, and dont get hung over, so the next day (sunday), i was still ā€˜tipsyā€™. I went down to the beach with my mates for a bit, then came home coz it was starting to rain and I felt ill.

Today, I went into town (Newcastle) with 2 mates. I didnt get anything, but Phill got some Jeans. He was also looking at a drop (17ft, with a 14ft gap) he is going to do on Friday. I am going to video it for him! I will post a link on here for the videoā€¦ should b good.

The weather is still really bad. Well, sunny spells! It goes from Sunny to raining so heavy in 2 seconds! I want to go out on my trials, but as soon as I go out, Iā€™ll get soaked. I like the rain, but most things are too slippy to do trials on when it is raining.

I have apsolutly nothing planned this week. I am going to be so boredā€¦ Cant wait to go on holiday. Were is everyone else going on Holiday?

Oh, also, has anyone seen Shrek 2 yet? I think im going to see it on tuesday. Looks quite good. :stuck_out_tongue:

Leigh, Iā€™m lookinf forward to getting my CD! Thanks very much, pet! huggles
Also, I am looking forward to seeing Si again. I cant remember the last time I saw him. Also hope he is coming on Thursday.

I have NO money at all on my mobile, so in town i went to get a top up, and realised Iā€™d forgotn my top up card! Most annoying I can tell you! Look like that will give me something to do thenā€¦ walk to the shop, like 2 seconds away, for a top up. FUN!
BTW< why are mobiles called Cell Phones? Is it coz they are phones with a battery in them. And another name for a battery is a cell? Hummā€¦ I would like to know.

What is you favourite song of the moment? I dont listen to much music on the radio, as I prefer listening to my cool old songs! :stuck_out_tongue:
Talking of cool bands, I went into McDonalds to get my Double Cheese Burger and 2 Hot Apple Pies (Total of Ā£1.98 - I get it all the time :)) and usually they play shite music, but today they had the Jam on. It was cool! My mates didnt like it though! Nevermind!
As for my fav song of the mo, I think it will have to be Usher, with Let is Burn, coz after Baja (under 18ā€™s night! :P) we always go to a take away (its awful, but we go anywaysā€¦) and the lasses we were with got the guy to turn it up, and it was just a great momentā€¦ weird.

I dont have anything else to say, as i am now just rabbitingā€¦

I hope you look forward to your next installment! hahaha! I bet anyone reading it will have to be as bored as me to write it.

Laters Dudesā€¦ take it easyā€¦ Peace outā€¦ haha,

Joe,

holiday oh yes me and my family are off on a cycling (uni cycling for me obviously!) to Holland and hopefully gonna meet up with Klass Bil and do lots of whizzing about on my 29r (aka Felix)
Favourite songs at the momentā€¦ probably
Beck - Sexx laws
the Beatles - Baby Youā€™re A Rich Man
and Joe Santrani - Surfing with the Alien
Blur - Parklife
John Lennon - Imagine
Bob Marley - No Woman No Cry

there are lots more but that might might my post go off the topic of the thread a bit

:sunglasses:

Tree, feel free to post what you like!

BTW, the drop/gap my mate was looking at, he is going to do on his bike!

I had a really sore head last night, and have taking loads of Ibuprophen. It is like a head ache, mostly behind my eyes. I guess it is caused by being at the computer for too long! I should wear glasses, but Iā€™ve lost them! Guess I will have to find them, or get some more!

Today Iā€™m hopefully going to go and see Shrek 2 with some mates - so long as my head doesnt hurt too much!

Iā€™m off to juggling in the garden topless nowā€¦

Joe,

Yeh, you will love the CDs joe :stuck_out_tongue:

I love unicycling to Less then Jake, my driving instructer asked me the other day who Jake wasā€¦ i was really confused until i realised i was wearing a band shirt with ā€˜Less Than Jakeā€™ on made me laugh and had to explain it was a bandā€¦ tut :stuck_out_tongue:

I like the way you tell us that your going to juggle topless :stuck_out_tongue:

see you 2night joe. lmao!

laura xxx :stuck_out_tongue:

Hello again.

I found my glasses - right after I phone the opticain!!! Typical! So, I sit here now looking through lensā€™, much clearer, and less painful!

Shrek2 on Tuesday (I think) was good. it really hurt my eyes though.

I cant really remember what I have been up to this week. I have just been generally hanging out with mates, and chatting to people on MSN. On Friday, I went to Newcastle (on the Metro) with my Trials, and met my mates who were on their bikes. I did my first gind and my mate did his jump at Bar55. It was an alround great day! Hopefully I will do it again some time. One of my (new) mates, who I only got talking to that day wants a trials uni. Most of them were having a go, of course, with not much success!

On Saturday, I did a parade. Now, when you think of parade, you think of America, huge brass bands, sunshine, streets lined thick with people, balloons, clowns, floatsā€¦ or not! Well, not here anyways! Me, my dad, Derek, Simon and Paul (from my club) came up to do this parade. We were right at the front, and had no idea what was in the rest of the parade behind us. The weather was ok, but rather cloudy. Anyways, we set off, along the road, following some guy in a dirty yellow jacket, and some old buses (not the best idea to put the unicyclists behind the old buses throwing out black smoke!). We seemed to go through some streets, a rather rough end of town (even though the whole town itself is rather rough) and down the high street back to the car park. It was not exciting at all. I look at pictures of parades in US of A, and think wow, wouldnt it be cool to be part of something like that, but I had my camra with me, and to be hoinst, if you saw a picture of it, would would frankly just laugh! It is pathetic (how ever you spell that! Was i right?)
Anyhoo, we got back to the car, and since we were at the front, we watched the rest of the ā€˜paradeā€™ come in. There was a cadets band, who couldnt march, some kids on stilts, which were good (thanks to Mini Mansell!) but slow (nevermind!) some people with hats on, someone dressed up in a bear costume, who looked pregnant (wouldnt be suprised in that area!) and some other rabble. We ate some sandwiches, talked to Mini, and was told that there was a space for us in the highstreet, which had been closed off. We went up, but it started raining. Me and Simon sat in the car and listened to Less Than Jake on CD (Thanx alot Leigh!!! :D) and took some pics. They may be put on here some time, but I know wot siā€™s likeā€¦

We then went to North Sheilds Fish Quay, and rode along the prom, and Tynemouth Pier, which was cool. Simon wanted to ride along the wall, but no no, it was very highā€¦ and rough. Plus, I was under orders off Leigh to make sure he didnt do anything daft, as he had hurt himselfā€¦ lol. Hes crazy, he cool! :stuck_out_tongue: Simon also thought it would b a good idea to stand at the end of the pier, on the wrong side of the railingsā€¦ I had to bribe him back over with his uni! Me and Si also got chatting to this guy out on his bike (A real cool racing Trek). He had a go on my Muni, but obv couldnt do it. So, we were chattin to him for a bitā€¦

Next, we rode up into the town (very steep hill) then droped back down to the prom, and back to the car, where we said out good byes, as we wont see eachother for a few weeks.

On Sunday, had a lie in, and then went out with my mates on my bike after a banana for breakfast. We rode along the sea front to Tynemouth (about 3 mile) and get some chips. I got Fish and Chips, and we ate them at the Priory. It was rather cold and wet, but enjoyable all the same. then, rode the 3mile home, by which time it was raining more! got home and had a hot choc.

Today, I had to fix my air saddle on my trials, as it had a puncture. I took it all apart (its a roach cover too, so bloody fustrating) to check the tube size. I went down to LBS armed with money, so got an inner tube, some metal dust cap (ooooo!) and a BMX wheel the guy said he would sell to me for Ā£10 (instead of Ā£15 - sounds good to me!). I fixed my saddle, and repaired the puncture in the other tube with a patch, and put it in the Hookwork tyre I got off Derek (for the price of a pint) then put it on the BMX wheel. Yup - I am making a BC wheel! I have been wanting one of ages. I have actually been down to the fabrictors to get them to make me some plates for it, but they aint been in touch yet. Iā€™ll have to get on to them!

Today, I have also been packing! I go on holiday tomorrow. I am going to France for 2 weeks with the family (mum and dad and sister). Should be good. Taking the Trials and Muni  Also took the cat to the catery today.

Just now i have found a cool website with some pics of my local area on. I have labled them, so you can see were I am, what I do, and where I do itā€¦
The pics are kinda big, so I thought it wud b stupid to put them in the post, so I will link to themā€¦
Pic One - Whitley Bay
Pic Two - Tynemouth
Pic Three - Light House

right, I must be off now. I am going on my happy hols at 10am in the morning (not too early! :)) Take is easy everyone! No doubt iā€™ll write about it when I get back - with loads of pics

Also, Leigh, thanks very much for lending me them CDā€™s! I shall listen to them on holiday!

Cheers,

Joe,
