Re: Negativland
yeah thats on the Big 10-8 Place.the Big 10-8 Place was there first thing in cd format.it came with a poster,a "no other possibility"bumper sticker and lawn clipping from Contra Costa county.all that and more stuffed in a plastic bag, they had to be hung on the record shop walls.
that album is the bomb on headphones.i think is was an HP steam cleaner from Safe Muffins that they had to get.409 is the Weather mans favorite number but it wouldnt work, had to get the steam cleaner.

Catch Michael’s Baby
That’s good, first try:
1- 820, 2-10, 3-875.
Must get back to work now.
1979 is a New Yorker bit on the reissue of The Clash album London Calling. I’ve recalled this thread because the piece ends with this beautiful bit of prose:
“If Strummer’s instincts were not his alone, then somewhere right now a kid is throwing a fancy, overpriced package of twenty-five-year-old material across the room and pledging to reinvent punk rock once and for all, doubting her heroes while carrying their astonishing music in her whole body.”
