That’s not the kind of change he’s talking about, and he’s mostly white anyway. Change in government, no more oil man, funding for college, new energy sources, communal healthcare, etc., etc…all these expensive things.

…Then his opponent is over there basing 90% of his adverts on the assumption that cutting gas taxes that fund highways would help lower oil prices. Pah. and then “I don’t think the American people care if we’re in Iraq for 50 years, 100 years, or even 10,000 years” or something along those lines…
At least that’s a short summary what I’ve gathered.
It’s really sad that these people aren’t running so much on policy. 98% of people couldn’t tell you the details of any of either candidates polices, partly because they know no one will notice anyways. They’re running on vague generalizations and “personality” and “look at me I can make a smug grin!” and all that crap.
Even if I could vote I wouldn’t vote for either of these jokers. A protest vote says so much more. Obama’s change isn’t so great, he even recently conceded to McCain’s attack ads and started supporting more offshore drilling. McCain’s even worse.
I won’t settle for either of these guys, and the minute one gets elected I’m making a dartboard with their face on it. My “Bush and Chaney and friends” dartboard is getting a bit ragged by all accounts.
Obama could not have made a better pick…to favor McCain! The GOP couldn’t be happier! This is from Biden’s own lips, and you can bet there is much more to come!
and was listening to NPR again when they coincidentally referred to Barack Obama as the “democratic hopeful.” I’m relieved to find that NPR is again making an attempt at unbiased reporting. I think they did it once before in 1980 after numerous complaints.

Sorry John but not anywhere near that percentage. A large number of blacks are voting based solely on skin color. Luckily for Barrack whites are not. For the record I don’t think that’s wrong, people have a right to vote for whatever reason they want.

Exit polls showed 82% of black voters who participated in the Dem’s primaries voted for Obama. (source: NY Times) Keep in mind, that’s not 82% of all black people.
Blacks make up about 12% of the US population. Unfortunately, only about 60% have reported voting in the 2004 election (source: US Census Bureau)
Given these numbers, how on Earth can you come to the conclusion that one would build a campaign that targets ~5% of the US population?
