Job Interview

On kind of a lark, I answered a posting on monster.com, and now I have an
interview this Monday. I haven’t been on the receiving side of an
interview in 6 years. Wonder what will happen.

do you want the job?

Wait, I thought it was the other way around? Where he’s holding the
interview…

For some reason I feel nervous – not too sure why. It’s not like I have
anything to lose.

Sorry to be confusing… I’m applying for a job.

I don’t know if I want it. Money is a big factor, of course. I’ve been
with my current employer for several years, so a change would be nice.
It’s a smaller company that had some financial problems about a year ago,
and that’s troubling, but they seem to be doing much better this year. The
actual job looks very similar to what I’m doing right now. For the right
numbers, I suppose I could be enticed. I’ll see what transpires. It’s a
wise in this market not to get too rusty, so it’s probably good to go
through the process even if nothing comes of it.

maybe because you’re still being judged on your “worth” as a potential
employee…
