jackie chan

anyone else a fan of him and his stunts? im thinking of getting into the stunt industry for a year or so because of him. and i know shauns interested because he did a scene in one of his vids where he gets hit by a car and does the classic stuntman roll. anyway im dabbling in freerunning to get the feel of it.

I love him, maybe not as much in the newer movies, which were still good, but I like his older stuff much more.

Did you know that he is a singer too? Pretty sure he did the vocals for Mulan, not the english version. lol

I think im gonna go grab some of his movies and have my self a little Chan marathon.

i was downloading police story but it slowed down in th last 10%. ill leave it on overnight. i got the armour of god the other night. thats the one where he jumps off a wall and onto a tree and the branch snaps. he landed on his head and needed brain surgery. hes also got a permenant hole in his skull and bad hearing in one ear cause of that. on the plus side he parachutes onto a hot air baloon and abseils down the side:D . i think police story is the one where he jumps onto the pole with all the cristmas lights on it. youtube " jackie chan: my stunts " it covers how he does stunts etc.

His clock-face fall in Project A has to be seen to be believed.
And the handcuffed flag-pole climb from the same movie is a greatly underrated stunt.

Yes, Iā€™m a Chan fan.

One time there was a bus of asian people and they were getting out I asked one if he was Jackie Chanā€¦he of course didnā€™t say anything back but it was funny nontheless.

FTFY.

meh, +1. True Trueā€¦

Yeah I would definatley have to agree that his older movies were the best. Heā€™s just so freakin crazy!

Anyways, Bruce Lee is still the best:p

Thereā€™s no way he would be allowed to do the stunts he did now, because of shudder a health & safety officer.

No, really, donā€™t get me started.

Iā€™ve been kind of a member of a Dutch stuntteam who used to cooperate with Jackie Chan for at least 2 movies or more.

We came up with a couple of very extreme unicycle stunts, that weā€™ve discussed, but never executed.
Now that unicycles can resist much more, and Iā€™m also better than I was by thenā€¦ I still would like to do some.

Being part of the team was a nice experience. Being on a level that you trust your life to others, and vica versa isā€¦ well; special
(but you donā€™t wanne know the debriefings).

Heā€™s cool, but Chuck Norris is the best.

haha I love chuck norris jokes, so many so funny

howd ya get on the dutch stunt team?

I have no idea if they found me, or I found them. It was many years ago.
After my last post I decided to give them a call, and found out their stuntschool doesnā€™t excist anymore. So besides budget, there now is no space available anymore.
Shame cause we had a couple of ā€˜easyā€™ but spectaculair unicycle stunts in mind. I bet someone else will do them one day.

yeah. im doing safe and easy stunt stuff for fun atm. eg at school weā€™ll stage a fight scene outside a class in the middle of a period then run off. or i get hit in the face and fall off my chair etc. recently ive managed to jump from one level to a stair landing halfway down the staircase. later on in the year me and someone else wanna do a whole level. its only like 2.2 metres or so. i just saw ā€œwho am iā€ where he slides down a building. it was sweet.
