What other male vocalists are there out there that have a kind of similar style?
No one is as good as JJ
Have you heard of the John Butler Trio? I think they sound very similar to JJ, maybe a bit more ‘rock’. The album of theirs I’ve got is called Sunshine Over Sea, and don’t think there’s a single track on it that I don’t like.
Also Ben Harper is vaguely similar to JJ, I think that they’re mates. If you haven’t heard any Ben Harper you should definitely check him out, the album ‘Live From Mars’ is probably the best one to listen to first.

You might like Josh Ritter, too, he sounds kind of like a mix between Jack Johnson and Bob Dylan. He’s really, really good…and he’s from Moscow, Idaho!

Yes! John Butler! Bloomin’ great he is. Ben Harper’s also really good.
There’s also a chap called Donovan Frankenreiter who’s mates with Jack Johnson. His music’s pretty similar.
