Today is July 1, the first day in my position. I am truly honored to
accept this position, and am determined to do my very best to promote
unicycling in the world, especially in Asia.

Since the IUF was founded I was either president or vice president. The
time has come for others to contribute in these capacities, and for me to
concentrate on what I am in a relatively advantegeous position to do:
start new unicycling organizations, especially in Asia, and to organize
Asian teams to Unicons.

I am glad to report that the JUA, after many years of relative isolation,
is now opening up to the world with the recent establishment of the
International Committee, whose aim is to promote the relations between the
JUA and unicycling organizations in other countries, and eventually to
organize the Japan Team to Unicons. That is, they will take over this job
from myself and my staff at IUF Japan, which we have been doing until now.

This is really good timing! Today, the first day in my new position, I am
in China and am in the process of convening the executive directors of the
CUA to discuss Unicon XI and organize the Chinese Team to Unicon XI.

Next month I plan to go to Korea to organize the Korea Team to Unicon XI.
If anyone has any information at all on unicyclists or unicycling in
Korea, please let me know.

I am really looking forward to my new job, and thank everyone for
your support.
