I've got a nice piece of tail waiting for me at home!

I could use a good piece of meat right now.
I’m hungry.

But this is for Friday. I’ve got guests coming over. Living in Harrisonburg, it’s not that common to see stuff like this, so when I saw a pound of alligator tail for sale, I had to buy it.

But I don’t have a clue how to prepare it or cook it.
Any advice?

Hmmmm…I’d say you might want to take a pic first.

I googled and found this site with info and like 4 or 5 different recipies for Alligator meat, Just scroll down a little…

Alligator Cookin’

Of all the animals I have eaten (spam, rabbit, snake, shark) gator some how appeals to me…

Spam’s an animal?

Damn tasty one too…

Sweet…that recipie looks better than the one I found! I think I’ll use that one.

I’ve never had alligator before.

I’ve had most everything else, though…

Squirrel, rabbit, deer, frog legs, rattlesnake, shark, squid and octopus (each many, many times), baby octopi, a calf’s brain, cow tongue, cow stomach, and a bunch of other stuff

How about capybara? It’s like a cross between pork and fish, only stronger flavor.

It’s my only claim to fame.

edit: Capybaras are the world’s largest rodent. Or if you prefer, they are ROUS’s (from The Princess Bride)

You mustn’t forget scrapple!

Whoa…

He’s right you know?

You killed the wabbit!

Haven’t you heard of sushi?
