So, I turn on the computer, go to unicyclist.com and this thread is the second thing I see. How weird.

Just run it through the ‘glowing edges’ filter in photoshop.

No wonder I couldn’t do it. my neolithic “light” version of photoshop does not have those functions.

I am in for a new avatar soon, so I will think about this. Ivanization seems to be the trend.

Ducttape had a good idea.
When he was doing it he was doing different pieces of the avatar at once to make it look more like the original.
We should try this.

I used the glowing edges filter, and then increased the contrast a bit
