rodney mullen completely blows me away…it’s not a huge surprise that he can ride a uni. he’s probbably pretty good

I understand the gist of this thread, but…
If you only invite the best then you’ve got a competition or exposition, not a convention.
If you only invite your friends, then you’ve got your daily grind.
The idea of a convention, of course, is to get everyone together so the talented can teach the less so, strangers can meet, vendors can sell some stuff, everyone can be inspired by each other, and locals can say, “holy crap, is the circus in town?” and try subtle variations on “you’ve lost a wheel”.

I’d invite on the condition they help out with stuff for all the other people at this fictional convention the following.
Julien Money- awesome freestyler and workshop leader.
Kris Holm- awsome trials rider, all round good egg and ditto
Roger Davies- Good trader- good workshop leader on intermediate skills.
Rolf Sander- Hockey guru
Alberto Ruiz- Basketball guru
Carol mcClean- to run the games session
Nathan Hoover- to chill out with
Mike Fule -to write it all up afterwards
Trine Karh’s mum -to make sandwiches and be MUM to every one.
Paul Selwood - because it wouldn’t be the same with out him.
Could be a good convention with that lot helping out, I’d buy a ticket.

For those who don’t know this list includes people from 7 nations, I’ve meet all of them at conventions except Mike Fule.
- Kris Holm because well he’s Kris Holm!
- Sarah + Paul because they’re great fun people +great unicyclists and great at hockey!
- Roger from unicycle.com and all his stock from unicycle.com!
- Phil because he made it all the way up the big hill in saltash
- Klaas Bil because i’m going to Holland for a holiday this summer and i’m going to meet up with him
- Ben because at my convention there would be a really good muni trail and i know he has a new muni
- Joe because he’s a brilliant unicyclist and a cool guy
- All the people from Calstock unicycle club
- All the people from Totnes unicycle club
- and everyone on the unicyclist.com forums!
And i would like an absolutly massive great tarmac area the size of a football pitch with goals at each end for an absoluty massive game of uni hock and a big indoor sports hall in case it rains so we can still play hockey and a nice forest nearby with loads of amazing trials stuff and muni rides and loads of big hills nearby and mountains and a nice playground with lots of steps and stuff for people to jump on and off and that’s about all i think

Tugboat, where have you seen Rodney Mullen unicycle? Is there a video or website? He’s probably my favorite sk8r, so i’d like to see it.
