Is There a Unicyclist Out There That Can Help Me?

I’ve tried unicycling before, and I am now interested in buying or building
my own uni. I’m hoping someone can help me. Does anyone have any
recommendations for beginning quality uni’s or plans for making your own
uins? Thanks in advance!

Erin, You can buy a “Taiwan” made unicycle at your local bike shop for
approximately $100 US and this will be a great unicycle to learn on. However for
a little bit more money, you can order a Semcycle XL (~$150 US) and it has alloy
rims, better cranks, axels and seat. (http://members.aol.com/semcycle/) I wish I
would have bought one of these first, but I didn’t know about them. There are
several other options, check the FAQ on the unicycle web site
(www.unicycling.org)

Good luck Greg
