Is there a longer pivotal seatpost that riders use with KH Saddles?

I recently upgraded my muni, and got a KH Fusion 1 saddle. The problem is that the seatpost is only 330mm, and my inseam is 34 inches. The saddle ends up much too short for me.

I can’t be alone in this problem. What do you taller riders do? I found a 400mm seatpost on Alibaba, and ordered it, but it might be sort of flaky. Is there a good solution? Can the KH Fusion 1 be adapted to having rails?

thanks,

David Maxfield

What wheel size are you on? My inseam is 31’’ and none of my seatposts are full length! The longest I had found were exactly the same as the KHs. A custom post could be an option if nothing else works, I could potentially help with that

I’m on a 24 inch wheel. What would you make? A custom seat post?

David

Yes I could most probably make a custom post. I would have to look into the Pivotal piece first to find out how to make it.

I’ll check out the one from Alibaba first. I’m just surprised this isn’t a more common concern.

There will be another option of flat saddle and long seatpost… trust me

I will keep checking your website. I love Quebec. Where in the province do you live?

When you think about the actual use of pivotal seats and seat posts, it isn’t so strange. They are used for BMX bikes, whose seats are usually quite low. There’s no need for long seat posts then.

What would be nice is something we talked about with @bouin-bouin in the past. A Pivotal seat post where the interface (for the lack of a better world) is not welded symmetrically, but with half a notch offset. It would give a finer adjustment by turning the post 180° in the frame. This would be pretty cool since each notch adds quite a steep angle ( 6° from memory)

I will be sharing once I have my solution. It’s currently in prototyping stage

I live right across the river from Ottawa, the capital of Canada

We’ve skated on the Rideau Canal many times! We love Winterlude. We used to unicycle on a lake when we lived in South Dakota. Love those Freddies Revenze tires!

Sounds like you know the place! I’m about a 15km unicycle ride to the Rideau Canal!
