Saw it today and it was really great! Robert Downey Jr as Iron man was inspired casting, but Jeff Bridges (almost unrecongnizeable!) as the villain was a master stroke and icing on the cake! 5 out of 5 stars!

Definitely worth the 8.50 folks to see it in theaters
It cool to see the character progression in Downey as iron man as he progressed from using his genius to build and sell weapons and live the selfish billionare life to selflessly defending the common good of the people with his inventions.
Nice effects too
there wasnāt enough kicking the shit out of stuff with the suit, but yeah, i liked it, even if it was a tad anticlimactic. I just expected more flying fights anā stuff.
I was waiting for you to make this thread Terry, it seems like you tend to go out and see movies right around the same time I do. I saw it last night and I loved it. I thought it was the best super hero movie to date. I canāt wait to see the second one. I really hope they try and stay as true as possible to the comic, it could make this the first edgy super hero movie.
Well, I also liked Christian Baleās portrayal in āBatman returnsā. Much more character driven. We actually find out-for the first time in a film version-how & why Batman came to be. Very edgy and dark, and well acted.
Good action but i agree with abbabibble that it could have used more action in the suit.

I saw it, made fun of alot of the peoples names in the credits, but I really donāt like Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury.
Batman begins was an awesome movie. The acting of all parts was very well done (especially the scare crow guy). The Spiderman series were all sh*t. Iām going to check out this iron man thing, sounds cool.

Iām glad Olivier is dead otherwise heād have to do a crappy summer blockbuster based on a comic book. I like Downey Jr, Bridges, and Paltrow, but this trend is not unlike when the Stones and the Dead did disco.
Oh, and donāt even get me started on the plausibility of naive idealistic weapons manufacturers.

Itās definately the best superhero movie in a while. (They were a bit crap for a while werenāt they?)
I think it was great. I havenāt actually read much into iron man much before so this definately got me hooked!
As for batman, I find Christian Bale a bitā¦creepy. I donāt really trust him and I think Batman needs to be trusted (especially with Robin hanging about!).
But i canāt wait to see some joker action!
