IRC #unicycling on dalnet?

All,

I noticed on the front page something about chat, and scheduled chats, and getting on the #unicyclist channel on any dalnet IRC server. I got an irc client (I like BersIrc for WinX) and went to irc.dal.net:6667 or whatever and joined … nobody there.

Does anybody hang out there regularly or is it used only for special occasions?

A few of us end up making a chat room on AIM. I used to get on IRC a
lot, but never do anymore. If we can get enough people to install IRC
clients, we could probably get a pretty regular room going, but a lot of
people seem to find it too difficult or time-consuming to install and
configure.

I never really got that unicyclist.com IRC chat thing going. It takes some initiative to start it and make it a common place for unicyclists to go, and I didn’t have the time to sit in a chatroom to do that. If anyone has times they’d like to set up for it, please let me know. If we come up with a good time and day that works for those that want to participate, then I’ll set up a scheduled chat.
