ipod nano generation 4

my ipod no longer responds ive tried resetting it but to no avail, when i reset it, it it goes to the screen with the apple logo, and from there i can only get to choose language menu, but cannot go past this menu
any ideas or suggestions ?

Are you really 29?

  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

If it shows up in iTunes, try restoring it to default settings. This will wipe it, and get it back to how it was out of the box. It worked with my 1s gen Nano after I washed it in the laundry, and for my mom’s 2nd gen Nano after she washed hers. We let them dry a few months to be safe

Apparantly the new iPods will be shipped with a complinetary “check-your-pockets” guide.
