iPod HELP PLEASE

Well, i need help with my 3rd gen 8gb nano…
It is locked on ‘lock’ and my computer doesnt even recognise it to try and sync it again.
Anyone else had this problem?

If it’s anything like the HD iPods, the lock is a switch on the top of the device that keeps you from hitting buttons when the thing is stored. Is there a locking switch on your Nano?

My friend had that problem with his the new 80 gb version. He had to get it exchanged I think.

Yep, there sure is… its on the bottom, and it is non-responsive when i slide it across.

I’ll take it back to the Apple shop tomorrow at lunch and see what they say.

Can’t you hold the middle and bottom (play/pause) button for a few seconds, and then it resets?

I had the same problem with my 2nd gen nano. I soon discovered that I had to push it down fairly hard and then slide it over. It was a defect.

(Jack) I love my new gen 8gb i-pod. The screen is really nice and so is the set up. I also got a mirrored case which is totally sweet. You can only see the screen when it is on other wise it looks like a mirror, duh. I love riding with it so much more than my 30gb brick. (end jack)

Thanks! It is really awesome having it so small and still being able to play videos. Oh what you mught want to try is this restart that works even if the i-pod is froze, I forget how to do it, but check the itunes website for help. It worked for me when I did it,

I have more probs… I just put a heap of music onto my computer and when i plugged it in to re-sync it i get the attached message…(iTunes doesnt even recognise it).
I have no idea what to do :thinking:
Any help would be awesome.
