“various things” like what?

If you have someone’s IP number, how can you figure out stuff about
the system?
I don’t have anything specific in mind on what to figure out, but like
various things.

If you have thier IP, you can find out:
1 - what their IP is 2 - what their network is 3 - in SOME cases, WHERE
they are geographically (region only, not street address)
That’s about it. Unless you use that IP address to then hack into their
system, which is a crime.

How can you get their name and phone number if they’re using dhcp?
-Mike K.
I’m guessing finding out from the host who was using that IP at that time,
same as on a dialup. but that’s a TOOMA guess
