If someone who’s not on gmail emails someone with gmail, gmail asks that user if they’d like to send an invitation to gmail to the sender of the message (if that makes sense). So, I’m assuming that this university emailed him, and he was going to invite the university to gmail…
maybe I’m wrong.
I think it’d be fun to invite spammers or other advertisement emails to gmail…
