I heard this really cool Cuban hip hop group and that got me pulled into finding some other cool groups that spit absolute fire in Spanish. That lead me to dig deeper and I found some real cool stuff in Portuguese and French. Although I have NO CLUE what they are saying it’s still cool to listen to. My question is what are some good hip hop groups that aren’t from the US or Canada? If it’s in a different language that’s great but I’m down with English stuff too.
The Portuguese group I found was Mundo Secreto and I really like how they use American originated samples. Stuff similar to them would be perfect.
I’d be down with some cool Australian stuff too because hilltop hoods are great.
Yes but that is only part of what hip hop is about, the beats are also important and it is interesting hearing different versions of hip hop and how the groups seemed to pay respects to American hip hop while at the same time developing their own style.
