A little while ago, I posed to question to someone on the forums (lukkyjay, i think) of why ID was ridiculed as much as it was.
This is why.
I was reading through their article on gravity, and for about the first half, I was convinced that it was satire. Then I kept reading, and they just might be serious. They basically seem to be saying “If something can’t be completely explained and proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, then it’s the work of an intelligent designer”. They even say that Shakespeare must have had divine inspiration, because:
As GILD would say, keep the tinfoil hats on.
There are things on there that seem blatantly satirical, like Kansas’ Periodic Table of Elements…but the rest seems very serious. I honestly have no idea now if it’s serious or not.
