Incredibly varied sport

Saturday: at a convention, practising a few basic skills, helping a couple of beginners to learn the basics, then my first game of unicycle hockey.
Sunday: plummeting down steep and broken ground, hurtling down mountain bike tracks.
Monday: gentle ‘stroll’ on the 20 inch through the bluebell woods in Lincolnshire - lots of squirrels, rabbits, and the sound of wild birds.
Tuesday: delicately picking my way along narrow winding lakeside paths through trees, never able to see far enough ahead to relax for a moment.
Wednesday: slogging up a baked-hard bridle path, the wheel tripping over in the ‘fossilized’ hoof prints.

Does any other sport offer this variety?

Aside from biking, no. But even bikes can’t be used to play hockey or basketball on.

How about bicycle polo, does that count?

Woah, I’ve never seen that before. Well, I guess biking is just about as varied.

Steep ground? In Lincolnshire? Blimey… our bit of Lincolnshire was
probably the flattest bit I’ve ever seen, just west of Lincoln. Very few
hills of any size there.

Although right now I’m in Malvern, with one blummin’ huge great hill to make
up for it. I’ve not unicycled over it. Yet.

BLAH!

Varied…yes on bikes sure you can trail ride, street ride, and mountain ride but a unicycle is much more monuverable…can a bike pull off a 180 boot-leg turn? i think not and i think a unicycle is safer…how bout you would you like to get caught in a chain and have handlebars through your neck when you fall? i thought not!

But it’s just not the same is it?

Likewise, there are no bluebell woods in the urban bit of greater Birmingham where I went to the convention, and there was no convention at Nottingham beside the trout lake. Surprisingly, I travelled to different places to do these different things.

No because you asked about any OTHER sport.

Yes and tomorrow I’ll do a hockey game, the next day a mountain hike
is planned, then onto some soccer. Oh and outside I see may daughter
and her friends engaged in playing hop-scotch.

Further evidence as if you need any:
