In my other life ... (glee)

In my other life I’m a Unix hacker. More specific, I’m a FreeBSD hacker.

So today I’m glad to read this Phoronix benchmark: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=linux_games_bsd&num=1

Phoronix is infamous for extensive non-representative benchmarks. Benchmarks are really never representative unless you benchmark your real application out there in the real world, but I’m willing to ignore this when a benchmark is in favour of my home team.

That Looks more like gaming than hacking. Speaking of which, gaming under unix sounds like hacking under windows. It’s a bit of an oxymoron isn’t it?

What do you mean? UNIX was created for gaming!

Hmmm. {Looks up the history of UNIX}
