i’ll be there from tuesday till next monday and will be back at work on wednesday
i wont have internet access while i’m down there so i wont be around to inform, inflame and irritate:p

expect a detailed report when i get back

and if u’re going to be stuck at work, dont worry, i’ll have some fun on your behalf

Cor. On reading the subject line I thought “Oh no! Another deserter!”… thankfully not.

Have fun!

Phil

Yes I got scared at the subject line also.

Have a great time!

Re: i’m dissapearing for a while

or maybe not

i am SOOOOOO relaxed after the week at the sea, nothing seems able to motivate me to do much opf anything really

we had a stunningly lazy time
loads of juggling and uniing all over the place
i managed to land another running mount but came a nasty cropper while trying to skip rope on a raffie
the rope wasn’t quite heavy enough and my efforts to get it over my head for the first spin, caused me a nasty rearward UPD with a foot stuck on a pedal
this resulted in an AFL (Arse First Landing) that knocked the wind out of me and made me feel like a i smacked the back of my head on the cement behind me
helmet?
now u mention it…

in the uni race during the ‘games’ section of the convention
(along the wide concrete strip out side the dining hall, along the walkway past the main hall, onto the narrow walkway leading to the bungalows and onto the tricky broken cement cement section - we measure things differently in africa) i won my heat and went thru to the final where i had a most unfortunate crank-clash with another competitor as i tried to close the gate on his passing maneuver
lanes?
oh!, u r sooo eurocentric out there…
the ensuing UPD resulted in yours truly finishing stone cold last in the race
it pretty much summed up my day
i finished second in the coin-juggling game
the winner walked away with R150 in the losers’ ‘droppings’
i was third last to drop out of the 3ball endurance (in an embarrasing time of 11minutes 44 seconds:o )
i got nowhere in the 5ball endurance and fell out almost immediately in the club-balancing endurance competition

i did have a crap-load of fun so i did indeed emerge a winner of sorts

'twould really be good to have a couple of u guys there next year
15-21 March 2005

my friend Andrew Meldrum is looking to hook up with a a couple of unicyclists in-and-around London (no, the UK, sofa)
please let me know what the best way is to connect him to u

:frowning: come back soon
