I'm back!

I’ve been out since I had the plate and screws taken out of my arm and its taken a long time to heal. Takes a long time if a lot of bone is replaced for it to be hard enough. I didnt realize when the plate was taken out, a hard fall could cause the bone to collapse. Its OK now, almost full strength.

I was out 6 months and able to ride right away! I didnt have a lot of time under my belt but stoked I learned how to hop right away!! Now I need to try this from riding. I couldnt do that before this last surgery so I"m pretty happy. I guess its back to the beginners thread. I’m 40 year old woman now and its cool to learn new things. I think I’m more relaxed now that I know my arm is more healed.

I can seem to get idling yet but better. I need the sideways balance better I think.

I’m so tiny so the seat is wide for me, its hard for me to put the seat out in front for SIF but I can ride out of the seat awhile.

Just having fun with tricks now.

Only problem I had is my groin got sore so I guess I need to do surgery on the seat? Its KH street saddle.

So heres me 10 feet tall out on the uni! lol. Shadows are funny.

Heres my last xray. I broke it in 3 places and pieces of bone died so they replaced that with my hip bone. I will have some holes showing for a long, long time the dr. said but it should still be fine. OK. I got back almost full range of motion! Still working on strength.

Now I can have fun again!! I had to go away from the forum, just too hard to stay away from the uni so I had to put that away but now its out again! I’m happy!!

Welcome back cbs!

I’ve forgotten how your arm broke, but what a terrible break. You must have been completely out of action with both leg and arm surgery, so how are your muscles? Seem like you could not do much exercise during recovery, hope they build up fast now.

Generally threads titled “I’m Back!” are made by obnoxious kids whom nobody missed. This one is an exception.

Welcome back to the world of unicycling. We hope you are here to stay.

If you saddle is a 2009 you can take a bit off the sides to make the center more narrow. Kris suggests using your mom’s favorite bread-knife. It could be a good excuse to go visit your mom too. :stuck_out_tongue:

I broke my arm roller skating vert. I fell 10 feet on concrete. I had 5 surgeries on it because I was switching jobs and didnt get it looked at right away, complicated. So I’ve been in casts/healing for 1 1/2 years. So now I’m done with it all, yay! I’m so enjoying unicycling again! I learned it while my arm was still healing :stuck_out_tongue:

But as far as moms go, I turned 40. Think I’m little old lol? Just young at heart. I get away with being a kid too, I’m small.

My seat is a 2008 I think. I will see what I can do. Trimmed it already. I need to take out some in the center for comfort. :o

Hey cbs, it’s great to see you’re back in the saddle again.

Hey cbs, welcome back! As saskatchewanian said we missed you! I’m happy that the injury has healed well for you. Sorry I didn’t catch this post sooner.
