OK I’ve been off my uni’s for a while due to prostate problems
I did a 10 mile ride on my Nimbus 26 muni on Saturday and it felt good
I tweaked the uni by fitting a hookworm tyre, shorter cranks and cobbled together a seat, the seat worked reasonably well so I’m looking to buy a new one
The seat consisted of a flat nimbus base, with a KH slotted foam pad and old KH fusion freeride tie on cover
I’m thinking of buying either the latest KH freeride or the Qu-AX Eleven saddle
So, does anyone have either or both, because I want to know which of them has the softest foam on the sit bone bit of the saddle?
I have an old KH Freeride (when they had a removable cover) and I owned a QX Eleven previously.
The QX is quite firm as I remember it and the Freeride is very soft. Both are obviously traditional/banan shaped unicycle saddles.
I have both, but don’t ride the Freeride any more. It’s too soft for me, whereas the Qx Eleven is firm which I prefer.
So, if you’re looking for the softer of both saddles, there’s no debate: buy a Freeride
I also have both. For really long rides I find the QX Eleven too hard. KH Freeride is softer and better suited for long rides in my opinion. I use the QX for muni where I don’t sit as much.
