I have been riding for 6 years now, since I the age of ten. But I never really got into tricks. I really want to get a trials unicycle and really get into it ASAP. I need some tips on maybe fast track learning (like doing a type of trick that will segway me into learning another one easier :P) and what type of trials I should be getting. I can jump stairs (I feel so dumb saying that because most people on here can do so much more) well enough.
Thanks!
I’m sorry, I’m not really qualified to give advice for tricks, but I just wanted to say that you should never shy away or feel dumb/inferior for doing anything less than the next guy.
I’m primarily a distance rider, so I never even payed much attention to tricks! I’m not embarrassed to admit that I can hardly even jump. I don’t even have a uni that would stand up to trials or technical muni. I’ve got a 20" learner, a 26" Sun, and a 36" Coker with the new Slim Saddle.
Good cheap trials unicycles ^^^
Good tricks to learn if you can’t already:
backwards riding
idling
one foot riding
hop up 2 stairs in one hop
hop down 2 and 3 stairs at a time
180 hoptwist
180 unispin
seat in front riding
seat in front hopping
wheelwalk
hop on tire
Watch other beginner movies on here and youtube to get ideas of what to learn.
Really any tricks from any style of riding (freestyle, flat, trials, street) will help you gain balance and help learn other tricks.
